I guess I don't understand why everyone is complaining about how "loaded" this question is. Regardless, it's still quite embarassing for America in my opinion. Hey, America isn't the only people who like to celebrate with fireworks. India actually uses fireworks in the Festival of Lights.

I'm aware. I'm half indian. However they don't spend anywhere near the amount of money Americans do. What I was trying to get across is that Americans are a wasteful, easily amused people.

I like how you used this as an opportunity to plug though. Kudos I guess. You will never convince me that because this is going on in India, somehow America is better.

Actually, I tend to believe that India is better. I was just trying to say that no country is perfect and one comparison doesn't give the whole picture.

I apologize. I reacted too quickly/harshly. I'm just sick and tired of everyone behaving as if America is the greatest nation when I feel like we make so many...bad choices.
