New Job Outlook
Last week, I got a call from my boss at the college that another college needed an emergency substitute teacher. I called the lady and she told me she decided to let the guy finish teaching his last course after all. HOWEVER, she was interested in possibly hiring me for future work. Busy season begins again
This week I'll start my second PhD class of the year (Statistics II). I just started the other one (Health Psychology) a few weeks ago. They overlap so I don't have to always have the two classes running together. Anyway, just looking at the assignments for the weeks ahead. Another long night.. this one was way more fun!
I attended another birthday party this evening. One of my friend's daughter turned 21. She had the party at our friend Michelle's house which was nice, because as I mentioned, I had already been out the night before and didn't think I could handle another night of THAT kind of fun. Blue Martini
As the name suggests, this is a bar. I was invited to a friend's birthday and instead of being anti-social, I actually went out and enjoyed myself. I sat at our table the whole night (didn't feel like dancing), inhaled lots of second-hand smoke, came home after 2am and got my fill of the bar scene for a while. Check check. Extra days off
Whoa! My nanny family is out of town and I have the whole weekend off for once. Today I played tennis in the AFTERNOON with Isabel. That has never happened before. New Year's Eve
I was invited to a couple of parties this evening, but didn't feel like going out. Just as well. My anti-social mood is pretty much in full swing. I've been a bit unproductive and lazy these last few days. Date Night
I met up with this guy for dinner. He is someone I met over the summer and we hadn't ever gone out. Just chatted once in a while by phone. Zumba friends Xmas party
The women's center is closed for a few weeks during the holidays so my friend Zarah took the opportunity to plan a small gathering of Zumba friends for Christmas on our usual class night.
