You keep creating new OTPs for me!

Well, not OTPs exactly, but I've been won over.

Glad to be of service ;) I actually prefer to ship Roger/Cho, but just find Marcus easier to write than Roger. My versions of Cho and Roger are too similar, whereas Marcus and Cho have enough diversty to give the fic a bit of a dynamic. Although admittedly my version of Marcus is rather fanon, though we're not given much canon information on him, so it's not quite the same as fanon Draco.

Perhaps we need to invent a new catagory: AOTP (Alternative One True Pairing) for all the ship whores like ourselves ;p

Said it before and I'll say it again - I like your characterisation of Marcus. Most people just seem to file him under "Slytherin=evil", but you've written him in an interesting way. As always, your character dynamics are fantastic.

Yes, catagorising all Slytherins as evil is from just looking at the surface of the house. Really it's a lot more dynamic than that. Horace Slughorn for example is probably the most un-stereotypical Slytherin I could think of and while he's very different to characters like Draco and Snape, he does have one very Slytherinesque trait - blinding ambition. Harry himself nearly became a Slytherin, which shows that the house really isn't as bad as people believe it to be ( ... )

I really liked this! I've never read a Cho/Marcus fic before, but this was a great read. Love the situation and their dynamic. Your Cho is also wonderfully voiced :)

Thank you. I guess because out of all the OotP females I empathied with Cho the most, and because like her, I'm a Ravenclaw with Gryffindor stripes (;p), I find her relatively easy to write.

Normally out of the Ravenclaw females I prefer to ship Penelope with Marcus, but since I was requested to write a Ravenclaw/Slytherin pairing at the time and for some reason Penelope wasn't quite lending herself to a fic, a post-Hogwarts Cho just kind of popped into my head :)

And *nods at your icon* I went through a Marcus/Oliver phase as well since they were the most viable slash pairing in the early books, but these days my Marcus/Oliver undertones stay at a snarky banter in a bizarre friendship when Marcus alternates between trying to nudge Oliver out of moping over Katie Bell and trying to squick him with innuendoes about his relationship with his best friend Alicia Spinnet.

I don't typically like Cho, but I've come to have an appreciation of her through some fan fics (including this one) that remind me she's fairly two dimensional as presented in canon, like most of the minor characters.

Penelope and Marcus! I'd never even thought of that one. Usually I'm too busy giving Penny the short end of the Percy/Penelope stick. Poor thing, I just love breaking the two of them up.

My current Marcus/Oliver undertones are pretty much the same actually. :) I've been focusing a lot more on Marcus/Percy. Silly Oliver moping over Katie ;)

Heh, I love breaking up Penelope and Percy too. For some reason I just can't see them being together in the long term, and I've always kind of perceived Penelope as someone who's dating beneath her ;) I'm actually writing a Marcus/Penelope at the moment.

And the fic that has Oliver moping over Katie is a post-Hogwarts Love Actually crossover in which he eventually ends up with Gabrielle Delacour (he's playing the writer to her French maid), so he gets consoled eventually ;p
