Snow?

I like to post a screenshot of when the first snowflakes of the season are forecasted for Frederick. No accummulation expected, except maybe a dusting, but at least it will be pretty! And yes, I am excited about snow now, but if it turns out like last year, I'm sure I'll be groaning about it by February and March. But for now, yay ( Read more... )

what's it feel like living so far up north? is it chilly in the summer? i've been to maryland once, i think. i like the states up north but i'm not a big fan of extremely cold weather. and i wouldn't last. i'm too skinny and i have no fat to keep me warm, lol. must be nice to see snow though.

Now they've changed it to Snow instead of Light Snow, and accumulating 1 to 3 inches!

I don't really consider myself living up north, since a lot of my family lives in Massachusetts and they live up north. I like Maryland, though. All 4 seasons are distinct and last about the same amount of time. Summers aren't chilly; they're hot and humid, but probably nothing like Texas summers!

haha oh god. a real texas summer drives outside animals crazy and they die from the heat so easily. the AC is constantly running and not only is it hot but we get the most humidity.

I'm currently looking out my window. Across the street there's a parking garage, and on the guardrails on the ramp there's at least a half-inch of snow accumulated. Probably more like an inch.

Keep in mind, this is downtown Cleveland, so we get much less snow than the outlying regions (esp. by the lake), but we have wind tunnels from all the tall buildings.

*sigh* I want to stay in and think about writing my paper, not get out in the mess and go to work/Latin review sessions/last lecture of the semester.

Still, I much prefer this to the sumer sun. Just need to keep reminding myself. *g*

We've got about half an inch so far here in Gaithersburg. They're still calling for 1-3 inches today.

I hope you enjoy it. I remember in the south, snow as enough of a novelty that it was a nice treat.
