The comics with the kiss

So, I just discovered that the writer of 'Knight Life' is also the writer of the script for the recently X-Factor comics.
The comics with the kiss (yes, the Shatterstar&Rictor kiss).
Knight life is still on my 'To buy list' but it's difficult because it's a serie of books and I'll have to buy all three of them (maybe I'll buy the first one this ( Read more... )

I read Knight Life! It was a very amusing book and I enjoyed it. My only faults with it were Gwen (Guinevere), Mordred (Morty, I think) and Lancelot (Lance). Gwen was such a weak female character that I felt offended, being a girl myself. I preferred Morgan, though she was the villain. Morty was just portrayed in a bad light. I only liked a couple of scenes with him and Arthur. And Lance, while I've never actually been a fan, was portrayed in a really, really bad light. But I still enjoyed the books and the concept of Arthur for mayor/president/etc. :)

Lancelot in a bad light... well, I'll not protest, I usually can't stand Lancelot.
But Guinevere and Mordred are my favourite arthurian characters ;__; ... I'll think more about buying this book. I love the concept of reincarnations and other lives, maybe I'll buy 'Corbenic' first and then this serie,

Oh, I don't actually like Lancelot, either. But I thought having him as drunk and abusive was a bit too ooc. You know what you should read? The Forever King trilogy. I only read the first one, but it was awesome. It's about Galahad who is reincarnated as an ex-police detective. He quits his job after failing to save a 10 year old boy from a serial killer. Arthur's also revived as a 10 year old and finds the Holy Grail (though he doesn't know it's the Grail). Because of that, this really old immortal wizard, a rival of Merlin's, wants to kill him, and Galahad (called Hal) has to save him. I really loved it and I heard part 2 was great too, but 3 is terrible, apparently, because the two co-authors broke up by the time it was written.

Uh, abusive. Too much.

Forever King? I never heard of it *_* Thank you! I'll surely look for it, I always tought that Galahad would be a nurse or a policeman when reincarnated.

There are, of course, gay characters in Marvel comics (Northstar) but until now I never saw a gay relationship written in a comic.
