The arthurian legends

Camelot is very very good
Camelot is a tv show about arthurian legends and it's something new (because surely Merlin is not about arthurian legends). Watching Camelot you can ( Read more... )

They canceled Camelot? It's true, some of it (mostly Arthur/Guinevere, for me) wasn't perfect, but I liked it. It did more with the legends than Merlin, which actually has a pretty impressive fanbase withal, and I was excited about Mordred showing up. :(

Yes they cancelled it D:
I liked it too, actually but most of all I would have loved to watch the second season because of Mordred and future gawain-may-be-gay development the actor talked about DDD:

Merlin is not about arthurian legends D: but I'm actually waiting for the next season because I heard there will be an Agravaine and maybe... a Kay?

GAWAIN MIGHT BE GAY??? *begins prayers to the TV gods* Now I'm sadder...

Despite Merlin's destruction of the legends annoying me, I still watch, lol. Too much UST between Merlin and other male characters for me not to. :P

Sorry to bug you again, but do you think it has anything to do with Jamie Campbell Bower landing that new teen movie franchise deal, for The Mortal Instruments? I mean, it's a six movie gig and, with Twilight and Harry Potter reaching their conclusion, this movie has a lot of expectant fans. I actually like the idea of him as a teenage playboy (and I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I actually like the books) more than someone so prolific as King Arthur, but he definitely wouldn't have time to do both a regular series and a film franchise that will last for nearly a decade.

STILL, MORDRED! I WANTED HIM! :(

I said the Saxon but they could have been anything, romans, other british kings, picts... I just needed an external enemy D:

I don't know... I find that Camelot-1981 was pretty Malory too (Dinadan, no Leontes, Guinevere/Lancelot, Morgause, the discovering of Lancelot/Guinevere etc...) but I think that, yes, being Camelot-1981 based on White this tv show is the most Malory-thing I ever watched. But I still miss The Adventures of Lancelot and a couple of arthurian movie to be able to judge XD

Actually Arthurian legends are not the only reason i am not fond of Merlin 8I liked the first season, in fact, but after the second one I had the impression that the authors were changing the characters to adapt the story to the arthurian legends, and by changing I don't mean character development).

D: GYA. Mordred-cliffhanger! I always wanted to see one. If I'll ever become rich (yes, of course, because biologists are rich XD) I'll create an all-Mordred tv show!
