In a greatly appreciated turn of events, I've actually had this past week, and will have next week off, from job two. A couple of weeks ago I'd have been pulling my hair out in frustration at the loss of income, but I've decided that my student loans have gotten all the angst they're going to get. (It's an interesting bunch that comes in and out of the coffee shop this time of night. There's a men's sex club next door that's open 24/7, and the building around the corner, I've noticed, must be some sort of halfway house or assisted living building. Lots of socially awkward, disheveled, blank-faced patrons; steady streams of furtive, oily guys of all ages and body types asking for change or a light. They're there at six, even four, in the morning when I walk to work.)

You remind me of Hemmingway when you write like this. You both have a great knack for illuminating the mundane and putting words to the process of life going on around you. Love it. Keep it up.

I was wondering about the name change. Randomly ran across it, thought this guys a *hottie* wonder what he's about . . . only to discover that it was YOU!

Sounds like you have your hands full. Enjoyed meeting you at the conference last year. Alas, I will be at another event this year.

Feeling much like you are about the student loans and working 2 jobs as well, although yours are more exhausting.
