Ten II/Rose Fanmix: I Should Tell You (I Have Always Loved You)

Apr 21, 2009 06:30

First new artsy thing in the new journal! YAY!

The Mix has a bit of a story between the lyrics, it's kind of how I think the Ten II/Rose thing will develop in a realistic fashion. I'd love for them to just jump in the sack forget about all they've gone through but it's Rose Tyler and the Doctor. They're the stuff of legends but they're also made ( Read more... )

This looks like a gorgeous mix, a beautiful story and wonderful art :D I read what you were saying earlier about Doctor/Rose and Steven Moffat and I'm confused... wasn't the whole The Doctor Dances thing by him? That was like my favourite parts of Season 1 because they were so blatantly 9/Rose. It broke my heart when he wrote The Girl in the Fireplace but I adored Reinette (I mean Sophia Myles) so it's a bittersweet relationship with Moffat I guess. I really liked his episodes though, so I'm looking forward to his Doctor Who. The thing is you have to move on, I was so sad when 9 regenerated but now I love 10 so much. Argh, Doctor Who and messing with my feelings! (And I didn't even get to see Hamlet!)

Sorry this was so pointlessly rambly. Like I said the mix looks fantastic and I will def download later when my connection feels like it! lol

Oh I adore Sophia Myles, I've loved her since her Underworld days. But I really dislike the way Moffat writes Ten and I don't think he shares RTD's feelings on Doctor/Rose, from what I hear they're paving the way for a very different Doctor with 11... I'm sure I'll love Matt Smith eventually, I grieved for Nine but I connected with Ten so much. And for me one of the things that defines the Doctor is that he loves Rose.. . I don't want the writers to forget that.

Did that make any sense? LOL.

Glad you like the mix :D

Oh okay I get that... yes Girl in the Fireplace just made me go 'What?????' because Ten and Rose were meant to be. I really hope they don't destroy that but it's good to know, as you said, that they're safe in a parallel universe together. Forever. But the first time I watched that episode I was thinking, 'No!! That's not the REAL Ten!' And the whole not telling her thing might/might not have made me cry. Argh the angst. But yeah that made sense! Hopefully they'll make Eleven good. Did you like the Easter special?

Oh I never had that problem... I think I must be weird or something because I always saw 10.5 and Ten as the same person. Just on different bodies. He's still the Doctor, only this part of him is free to love her properly because he doesn't carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Oh the Easter Special was pretty cool! I adored Michelle Ryan , she's just awesome in everything!

Wonderful :). I loved your song choices; especially five for fighting and stars. I hadn't heard much Josh Groban before now, but I liked the ones you chose a lot.

I completely agree with you on the Eleven/Steven Moffat issue. I'm sure I'll come to love Matt Smith (though whether or not in the same degree as DT has yet to be seen), but Steven Moffat as showrunner makes me a bit uneasy. Sure, he pens great episodes - Blink is one of my favourites, as is Doctor Dances; but I doubt he'll bring Rose back, what with some of the comments he's made and River Song (though I do love Alex Kingston). Everyone's entitled to their own creative opinions, but it'd still be wrong continuity-wise if he completely writes Rose out of Doctor Who without a word.

Anyways, I'm sorry. I'll stop my little rant here XD.

I'm glad you liked the mix! I am working on two mixes right now. One of them is Star Trek based but the other one is about the Whoverse ( ... )
