He Can't Even Boil an Egg

Growing up, it was an insult if someone said you were so stupid you couldn't even boil an egg. So when I decided this week to mimic Starbucks' Protein Pack snack pack, I figured no big deal. Boil some eggs, slice some apples, buy mini bagels and get some mini Laughing Cow cheese wheels and I'm set. Right. uh huh

Yes.. And here I am, in the lovely, and 3g dead spot that is La Pine in central Oregon. It may be bereft of cell signals, but there are real stars and trees as far as the eye can see, and wild coyotes and massive canyons and the snow in spots and the smell of juniper in the air...

And WiFi.... Thank God for the WiFi, or natural beauty or no, I'd chew my own foot off to get back to civilization.
