WTF could you have possibly done? And if you did something wrong/against your contract, why the fuck didn't someone bring it up to you. If its had time to get around to her, then its not something that they decided yesterday or something.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that I might have put the wrong date on my resignation letter. I sent my letter in like 8am Friday morning. Reading that letter literally takes two seconds and if it was off by one day, sending me a courtesy email would have taken all of two seconds. I am going to call them Monday and get a verbal confirmation that there will be no penalty on ANYTHING, because trying to charge me 5,000 dollars over one day is fucked up to the nth degree.
I hope I am just grossly overreacting and my doctor friend just overheard them talking about my contract and how I'm quitting just in time to avoid the penalty and just got worried.
I told my mom and dad and they said to try to work it out over the phone (if there is a problem at all), and if they get too douchey, we are gonna lawyers involved (just being ultra-prepared, you know).
I had to call the office to make sure and even then the HR person was not exactly jumping at the chance to give me a complete answer. She was all like, oh I have to check the date (which is stupid because I know they know the EXACT date I'm leaving). I had to tell her I had my contract literally in front of me before I got an answer. I told her that she needs to send me an email confirmation to verify it. She hasn't sent it yet today, so if I don't see it tomorrow, I'm gonna email her again.
I just really hate working here now, which is a shame because I was so excited when I first started this job.
As for school, I decided to apply to medical school again (give it one last go), and then hopefully if I get in somewhere (and hopefully somewhere I really like!) I can still work in the bionics field, and really be a part of the WHOLE process. What do you think?
