I also refuse to see it. I HATE halle-THAT WOMAN!! she can't act for SHIT. The only reason she is in movies at all is because she's hella' hot.

NO ONE(not even a cat) could fall from those heights and land perfectly in high heels.

Halle Berry can act. It's just that this movie was a shitty vanity project that was only focusing on trying to get her into as little clothes as possible.

The movie looked awful enough from the previews. First of all, Selena Kyle did not die and did not come back from the dead. And she was a whore. I mean it, a hooker. The monologue they showed in the previews was a rip off of The Crow. And cats do not have the ability to carry souls or anything of the sort.

The costume looked really bad. The mask looked like the cheapest piece of shit ever. It didn't even fit her face right.

Plus, it looked like they were trying to make her into a hero, which is just wrong. She was a cat burglar who wore a catsuit and liked cats. End of story.

I believe it was Egyptian belief customs that have beliefs that state cats are the carriers and protectors of the souls on their journey into the Underworld.

I'm pretty sure that cats were more of a fertility symbol due to their association with Bast. It was more often dogs associated with the underworld due to Anubis being one of the gods who held that position for quite some time. Though Egyptian mythology changes around quite a bit throughout different time periods.

I'm just slightly pissed off that a movie supposedly based off of a comic that has nothing to do with anything from comics is making money at the box office.
