Luckycanuck is no longer the sportiest in Chez Canuck

Alleluia is leaving, which means we are replacing her with a new housemate.  We put out an ad and got a lot of response and two people came to view the place yesterday.

We were happy with both but we wound up settling on the older (and quieter) of the two.  And get this, she has been to the Olympics twice.  The freakin' OLYMPICS!!!

Google+ is currently running in limited beta by invite-only. savesomesilence may have an invite to send you.

They need to get a feel for what the capacity will eventually be and get immediate feedback on what's good, what's bad, where the bugs are and if anything needs to be added to improve it.

Facebook's major issue is that they are forever changing their interface and people are done with it. They want a site that will reliably always be something they can easily use and enjoy without having to figure out 100 new features every month.

The indication was that even with an invite they still didn't have the bandwidth.

I quite like Facebook actually and the problems that some people have with it don't really bother me. I'll send you a private message if you want to add me there.

You would have loved that meal.

I may check back in with Google+ later.

Except for the cilantro, that looks tasty. :-) I love me some plantains.

Congrats on the new housemate. One of my BFFs also competed in Olympic skiing. Downhill events in the early 80s.

It was coriander. Or is that the same thing?

I wanted to be in the olympics when I was a kid, but I was never good enough (or focussed enough) at anything.
