Hmm. Saying you're not a feminist but then saying you hold a woman's right to choose sacred, and that you love Gloria Steinem...this makes me think you may have some misconceptions about what the word "feminist" means. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. There are many thoroughly sane feminists. I'm one.

You just struck the problem many men have. We can sign over our RIGHTS, but never our RESPONSIBILITIES. Even if we relinquish our parental rights, we are still held financially responsible for the child. The case is mostly about having an option for ridding themselves of the financial obligation as well as parental rights, not actually telling the woman to not have the kid.

Heck, if say I had a child, and the mother had the child adopted by some other guy she married. When she divorces him she could sue ME for child support again.
