Hey people! Long time no post. Here's something I had to code since I didn't find it on the web, so let me give it back to you, dear internet: A PHP function that counts how many frames there are in an animated GIF.

thank you very much for the code. I used it to determine if a gif is animated or not. the functions on php.net and stackoverflow did not work on all gifs for me. i realize that this is a little bloated for my purpose but i have a time crunch and don't am not such a php wiz. in time perhaps i will parse through the code and learn. thanks again for the well working code.
