Basically, I think everyone is acting like babies. Compromise is a beautiful thing. Yes. This.

Compromise is how I try to live my life, bb.

My dad told me last time I was home that he would want me in charge of things. This is making me even more sure that I would most likely be charged with assault at some point if that were the case...

Well, isn't our country just lovely? Granted, I really don't follow politics as much as I should, but I honestly can't wrap my head around the supposed fact that we get anything done.

HAHAHA! I follow politics closely and have devoted countless hours of my undergraduate career to studying our government, and you have no idea how often this exact thought crosses my mind. It is truly a wonder that we function...most of the time.

The long and short of it is that our government was specifically designed to get nothing done. It was on purpose.

One hour left!
ETA: They reached a deal. FINALLY. I'm not sure if it's the budget or just another continuing resolution. Hopefully, a budget.

Yeah, I took one semester in high school on US government and I only took it because it was a graduation requirement -_- But it can be rather interesting....sometimes.

I would be shocked if it was a budget.

I don't blame you for not wanting to know more. Not only can it be boring enough to cause migraines, but it also really screws with one's worldview when you know what's behind the curtain in excruciating detail. (Truth be told, I'm mostly in it for moments like these. The drama.)

It was a budget. But only for roughly the next 6 months. Then it starts all over again.
