That was really fun. I actually laughed out loud at work which I just don't do, when Thomas met the gang. Of course, I feel sad for John, but knowing how he responds to challenge I'm looking forward to part 3.

I do think you did a great job of keeping them who they are, even after removing the magic. It's so much a part of Harry it didn't seem to me that he could be the same guy without it, but you've managed beautifully, and his power seems incidental to who he is, more just an expression of his personality rather than a source of it.

Oh John. John. Jooooohn. Boy is he going to have a rough week.

Thank you very much. That's high praise to me. I'm glad everyone rings true. 8D

I am loving guilt-trip Bob so hard right now. Seriously, probably my favorite part of this chapter was his response to Thomas over the coffee machine, and his progressive pissiness. Or possibly just the way Harry AND Thomas are both such completely oblivious dorks during the whole incident. Because really, guys? "He's my ... friend" doesn't actually read like 'long lost brother'.

And Molly. You have made me love Molly, which I didn't think possible, but bakery!Molly is perfection. Between her, Bob, and Harry, they are the perfect bakery family. Which is why I felt rather bad for Bob when Harry effectively shut him out of the whole Thomas thing.

Cannot wait to see the fallout from John over all this. He's been working so hard, and to seemingly lose Harry to some completely random element that just appeared one day? Uncool. He's going to fight dirty after this.

In the boys' defense, Harry was half asleep and Thomas wasn't quite awake yet? But yeah. Oh boys.

:hugs Molly: I still stand by the fact if you strip out Harry/Molly subtext (ugh), she's a great character. The three of them are precious, even if Harry have Issues.

VERY UNFAIR. Doesn't this California floozy get that John called dibs? God.

I'm very glad you liked. 8D

oh man, Thomas & Harry in the crowded shop, completely oblivious to the impression everyone's forming (I get Harry not thinking of it, but how can Thomas not get the undertones?) - pure comedy gold, except for the whole hurt!John part

Wonderful writing as usual!

I completely loved the Harry/Thomas moments. I really loved how spot on their characterizations and interactions were, in such different setting. Great job. And oblivious Harry is completely adorable. I also really liked Bob being protective, and Thomas and Bob both wanting to be the one to take Harry upstairs. Poor Marcone though. I can't wait to read the final part. :-)
