Yet Another 5x04 Fic. All the cool kids are doing it, but there's a disturbing lack of Chuck in the ones I've seen so far. And you can never have too much Prophet Chuck. Thus, fic.

Aw, this was just heartbreaking. I kind of was really wanting to read some Chuck POV on the whole 2014 thing and this totally fit the bill. I just loved your Cas voice and the rest.. Christ, I'm heartbroken but it was so plausible. I loved Chuck keeping track and how you described the whole Dean/Cas relationship through him. And the ending line? *cries* This was really good!

I'm so glad you liked it! And what's really sad (and I didn't even THINK OF until right now) is that Chuck had a vision of this, and therefore knows he's gonna die a horrible zombie death, and. I just. IT IS SO SAD. CHUUUCK. DDDD:

Lu...LU. This is. This is the best coda I've read till now, I love it beyond words! I don't even know where to start.
First of all I adore outsider POV, and in this case I was even more enthralled because it's CHUCK!
I love how it's without dialogue, and that we only see hints of what maybe happens when Dean and Cas are together.

But I think the thing that made this stand out is the fact that you make the story unfold further than the ending of the episode, validating the fact that this was an existing future, not an hallucination or something, and underlining the fact that Dean and Cas DIED, and they all did in the end.
I don't know, it's like you made all of this more REAL with that last line, wonderful idea.

I'm gonna rec the hell out of this one.

I always love Chuck POV. The last sentence was so sad. Heartbreaking and lovely.

Yup, that was gorgeous! I have a real fondness for Chuck!fic, and it was refreshing to see him out of his element as a prophet and just so... helpless in the face of all these changes. And that last line was a killer - I adored how it was just so... desolate and ambiguous. Lovely stuff! <3

Thank you kindly! It's kind of hilarious that him being A Prophet Of The Lord is his normal element by now though. If he can adapt to that, zombie apocalypse should only take him another few years to adapt to!

Seeing it from Chucks POV makes it even more heartbreaking and ouchy, seeing his friends slowly dwindle away over the years, and not being able to do anything about it.

Painful, but oh so good. :)
