Christmas Ball - Announcement #2

Hey, guys!  Tori here, and for any new people who missed it the first time, December 1st(ish) brings a traditional 18th-century Christmas ball and feast, hosted by your historical guys and girl.

What are we talking about?  A feast.  And a ball.  Head Chef is Jack Aubrey, general coordinator is Elizabeth Swann, and leading the dancing will be Archie

I totally missed the first announcement for this, but Frederic is on board for this and I'd like to say his students for the music class are on board but I can't say for certain. Either way, thanks for posting this!

Soooo I noticed this comment from the original post:

Is this still happening, and if so, is there a dude equivalent of this? 'Cause Pao-lin would be interested in checking the party out, but she'd reaaaaaallly prefer not having to wear a dress. Unless her CR can successfully harass her into acting and dressing like a "proper" young lady. But I think it'd be more hilarious for her to crash this party as a cross-dresser. XD Unless that's not cool for whatever reason, in which case we default to having Pao-lin be harassed into a dress.

I'm going to leave this up to you. Most of the navy boys will be in uniform (dress uniform, if possible), but I've thought about having Archie come wearing formal civilian attire of his time, as an IC choice. Having Daisy astonish everyone by looking majestic in a formal dress would be pretty cool, I must say, but either one would be absolutely appropriate.

It's a great bloody tree. Inside. Maybe King George does it, but that doesn't mean everyone has to do it. And come to think of it, I don't even know if that little fact would be common knowledge among the people. Otherwise, it might've become popular well before it did.
