I just want to say that you guys are awesome. You handle yourselves so maturely--I appreciate it more and more as I see more of you around (and to some extent when I look at RP!S and anonmemes to see what can go wrong when the mods and/or players are less mature). From my perspective, which might be slightly narrow since I don't usually have the time to follow everything, Luceti has been blessed with so many great players, but it wouldn't be the same without you mods. For one, I doubt a lot of people here would still be here or be here in the first place without you. You have made Luceti what it is, and I am grateful.

It's a tough, time-consuming, and occasionally (I hope it's "occasionally" and not "often") thankless job, modding, and you do it so well, without complaint. So, Luceti mod team, I salute you. I'd hug you, too, but it's pretty hard to hug through a computer, so. Saluting.

Okay that was a little embarrassing to say but hey.

I just want to pop in and make a suggestion.

I think it would be nice, when the Nitpicker's Guide is done, that it be published via the Wiki rather than the main comm (or wherever else). I say this because finding information about Luceti stuff is rather difficult. Half of what I know about the RP has been learned second hand by other players. This has worked out for me, since I'm fairly sociable and don't have any problem prodding people for information. But I also realize that a lot of other RPers aren't like that.

Ultimately I think it'd be nice to see a lot of information in the RP shift to the wiki for ease of use. Everything doesn't need to be there, but a localized place where we can actually use a search bar to find stuff would be very helpful. Also it would raise awareness of the wiki in general (everytime I mention it, people usually respond "We have a wiki?"), so people can start adding their own stuff to it. Frankly it would be nice to just have one place to find information on the RP and the people in it without hopping ( ... )

...this is kind of ironic actually, because I suggested that the Nitpicker's Guide on the wikia hours ago. Get out of my head plz.

The only issue I have with that is the fact that Wikias are editable by anyone and everyone; not that I don't trust you guys, but if we're going to keep the place accurate, we need to be the only ones able to edit it. Is there a way to lock pages, oh Wiki Guru?

Yeah, you can set pages on Protect. That way there can be some pages only you guys can edit and others that anyone can edit.

Oh, awesome. Thanks, I'll add that to my Things-To-Look-Into list.

I dunno, could I add onto this? I don't much like Wikis for games - it's just a matter of preference - and I find it easier to just sift through info on livejornal. THIS MAY JUST BE ME. Instead of moving things over to there solely, some redundancy between the wiki and livejournal info pages might actually be helpful. As in, have the information in both places. That, or have the information solely on the wiki, but make sure links to that information are clearly labeled in a logical place somewhere on the livejournal info pages.

That way you could sort of have both! It might seem cluttered, but it would also make it a lot easier to find the information you needed whether you preferred the wiki OR lj.

Oh, no, we'd definitely never move everything over! With it all posted on LJ, it's nice to have it in a place that's safe and easy to manage rather than a public free-for-all. The nitpicker's guide is pretty much all I was intending to post on a wiki, just because I think rather than having a long list of paragraphs that has to be loaded every time someone wants to view the info, it'd be nice for people to just load one page for a certain second of Luceti that they want to view.

\o/ that sounds good to me! As long as there's a link to it somewhere here on LJ. 8D I'd never find it otherwise orz.

Yeah, the nitpicker's guide will definitely be added to the links list on all of Luceti's profiles, as well as brought up repeatedly on the FAQ.

This'll likely be in on the nitpicker's guide, but I thought I'd ask:

1) how are the apartments in the community buildings numbered? I'm not sure if Derek's room is near the entry to his floor, or in the back, or what side it's on.

2) How are the apartments set up? You have room layouts for the houses, but not the apartments other than very basic boxes, so I'm not quite sure where everything is...

and 3) Are they furnished at all (like, just have a bed and a couch? Fully furnished? Or do the residents have to drag everything in themselves)?

Over all, I'm impressed by the fact that the game has an overall plot arc, that all the players and mods are cool, and that it's been going strong for at least a couple of years now. Thanks for giving me a fun place to dust Derek off at. :)

1) The apartments are numbered clockwise from the right-side entrance and loops around to the kitchen. So basically:

-door-
K----1
5----2
4----3

2) We leave the apartments undesigned because we want players to do whatever they like with them. The only reasons some of the houses have layouts is because I got them from random Google searches and the images just happened to happen them. >_>; The guide will have some details if players want an idea of what's there, but honestly, it's your call.

3) Same as above. There's basic furniture included in every building, every apartment, every room. Beds, couches, tables, chairs, the works. What characters need to live comfortably, nothing more and nothing less.

I hope that helps, and I'm glad you're enjoying it here! \o
