All right, you guys; please pay very close attention to the following details as they pertain to your individual characters!
CODED PAPERS: DETAILS
A few characters have gotten their paws on the paperwork scattered about in the examination rooms; good for you! Now, as stated before, the code is rather complicated, but there are a few genuises and super computers here that could break them, so you guys may want to make yourselves known right about now. If your character is an average Joe, or of average intelligence, um...basically it'll be impossible for them to crack this code. Unfair, but that's kind of how life works sometimes.
The information contained on the papers are notations about the character listed at the top; namely, their entire canon history, how many times they've been kidnapped and what experiments were run on them during their capture, how many times they've died and their Death Penalties. It's all rather standard information, save for a few curious notations next to Death Penalties. For example:
[Decoded]
Character Name
Age: [Duh.]
Sex: [Duh.]
Species: [C'mon now.]
History: [Insert individual canon history here; this only pertains up to the point from when your character was taken. Anything hidden, that your character was not aware of, is listed here. If your character has amnesia or a past they were unaware of, it's here, on this paper, so be sure you want your character to find out about themselves if you have them get their paperwork decoded.]
Successful Captures: [How many times your character was captured.]
Experiments (if applicable): [Generally blood tests, endurance tests, psychological tests. If you had anything particular happen to your character during a kidnapping, it would be listed here.]
Deaths: [How many times your character has died.]
Death Penalties (if applicable): [A list of the Death Penalties your character suffers from. IE:]
Memory Loss (Antidote cultured)
Loss of Sight (Antidote not cultured)
Item - Necklace (Recovered)
Item - Sword (Not recovered)
Understood? Whether or not you want your Death Penalty to have a solution is up to you; however, this does not mean it is available to you. Simply that it was physically possible at the time that data was recorded. This will come into play later, so try to remember your answers! If you forget, that's all right; science is constantly advancing.
If you'd like to fill out and keep your sheet for reference, here is the template I used for it; placing it in your profile or journal can be a kind of fun tidbit, and also a way for you to keep track of your character's progress in Luceti.

If your character began walking the second they hit concrete on Friday night -which most likely isn't the case, but let's just say they did- they should be reaching one of the ends to the tunnel system by very late tonight, perhaps even Monday morning or afternoon.
SIDENOTE. Please be realistic. If you are traveling in a large group, it is likely that you are moving more slowly than a single person. You will need to stop for meals and to sleep as well, so no your character did not plow straight to the end of the tunnel. Remember, everyone is an average human in these tunnel systems, so even an extremely fit soldier-type would have to stop to rest occasionally, especially since your character doesn't know how far the tunnels reach. If your character did not have the foresight to pack some water and lunch, you can safely assume that they either went back for provisions or are lagging around somewhere, hoping for a drink. If you are unsure as to how this applies to your character, please drop a line here for an opinion! Start a group discussion, even; whatever you think would help you to make your character's situation more plausible.
*If you took the tunnel in the direction
beneath the village:
Along the way, you will find a series of pathways branching off from the main tunnel system leading to separate rooms. In these rooms, there is a small, round metallic platform large enough for two people to stand upon, and it is labeled with either an H and a number from 1-50, or a C and either a 1-4, a hyphen, and then a 1-25. For example:
H.33
C.2-16
However, whatever their use was before (as if it isn't obvious), they are no longer in proper working condition. Standing on said platforms will just make you look a little silly; it's as if their power was cut.
At the end of the tunnel is a very large steel door, much like a warehouse door. What once appeared to be a digital code to lock said door is probably hanging from the wall, panel torn off and dangling by a few wires. With enough manpower -probably four or five people- you could pry that door open with a few good tugs. The room beyond resembles a very large processing warehouse; the drones that collect the bodies after a person's demise can be seen milling about. These drones are mechanical in composition, humaniod in shape and are completely faceless. Those of you who discovered the drones from the Matt and Mello escape effort (Edward, I believe, was one of them...although I can't recall the others, if there were any) are free to notice the similarities.
They seem to be moving metal crates about, stacking them on one side of the room only to turn around and stack them on the opposite side. As long as your character doesn't actively engage in combat with a drone or attempt to take one of the crates, they'll leave them alone. However, the moment your character lifts a crate and moves it beyond the threshold of the door, they'll find about fifty angry and very durable drones closing in on them. As everyone within the tunnels have the power of an average human, you can pretty much assume that you'll lose that fight. Badly. Simply bumping into a droid or messing with their task won't be enough to cause any hostility, so feel free to poke around. Don't try to disable one of the droids or lead them from the room, though; that's also a no-no, and they'll attack.
If your character can get a crate away from the droids (moving one off to the side and avoiding detection, since they'll just brush you aside and take it back if they notice you moving them around) and pry it open, they'll simply find a number of tightly sealed canisters with labels like, "Carbon," "Potassium," and "Sulfur," so on and so forth. Namely, elements that compose a human body; in addition to these, there may be labels that don't resemble anything your character is familiar with. Labels such as "Jenova," "Mana," and "Seventh Fonons" can be found on some of the canisters, but as said before these crates are difficult to acquire (basically, the "adverse" elements are whatever isn't a part of basic biological composition that are a part of your character's body). If your character attempts to remove anything from the room, or attempts to open the canisters, you can be sure your character is going to get a beat down.
*If you took the tunnel in the direction
beneath the mountains:
Congratulations. You have successfully passed beneath the barrier. There's nothing much to note along this way; it's a straight path until you reach where it dead-ends into a long, stone stairwell that opens up into a small, one-room stone fort in the middle of a desert. Once your character's feet touches the surface world, you can find that you have your powers back, along with any magic and such; if you want to summon water in the desert, you can. However, keep in mind that this is a desert, and as such the water is going to dry up very quickly. Not to mention that summoning water generally pulls it from the surrounding environment, so you most likely won't be able to acquire gallons of it. Be stingy.
"Which direction should my character walk in?" you might ask. Make sure you have the journal
malnosso friended, because there is going to be a post immediately following this one tonight telling you just that.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Please. PLEASE. Pay attention to the instructions following the approval of your application; if you don't post your information in the Taken Characters using the link and template provided for you, your character is as good as not taken. If you didn't post in the
Housing and
Friends Add posts, and in YOUR CHARACTER'S FANDOM THREAD in the
Taken Characters post and were accepted in the last app cycle, then please do so IMMEDIATELY. Make sure you do this, because we will be running a purge soon to remove all the old journals from the game. Thank you.
As usual, any questions may be posed here!
