[Pao-lin is rather surprised at how nice the accommodations here are. Temporary, admittedly, but it's the nicest temporary place she's ever stayed in. Not that she's had much occasion to do such a thing

Lightning powers...? Really? [Nami grins.] That's pretty handy. Uh, pretty much the same here. Though my lightning kinda comes in the form of a really big stick. [Her hand drops to the three piece staff holstered on her hip.]

Yeah, more or less. If you use it the right way, anyway. It's weather technology.

[She grins. She's proud of her handiwork, but--] It'd be great just being able to do it on my own, though. You're like Ororo, then?

Ororo?

[The name's not familiar to Pao-lin, but she's likely to have seen her at the mikan grove earlier in the month.]

She's a woman with dark skin and white hair-- you might have seen her at the harvest? She was helping me keep the heavy snow away.

Oh, okay! I know who you're talking about, now. I don't think I can do anything like keeping snow away, though... [Maybe Blue Rose could?]

But you've got the same sort of power? I mean-- well, they're different, but you don't rely on something else? I can't do anything on my own.

Oh, okay. Yeah, the power comes from inside me, I guess, although no one's been able to figure out exactly how that works yet in my world.

I've met a few people like that now. In our world, the only "magic" comes from eating cursed fruit.

[Oh!]

Are you talking about Devil Fruit? I've met two people here who've eaten those.

[mikangirl]

Oh, really? [She'd be more surprised, but it's hard to miss people like Luffy and Brook.] Was one of them a skeleton?

Oh, I hadn't realized Brook had eaten one of those. I was thinking of Ace and Luffy.

[Snrk. She'd forgotten about Ace.] Oh! Yeah, we've actually got ...a good six devil fruit users in Luceti. Three on our crew and three elsewhere. All pirates.
