There's no Thanksgiving on Melfes, but, after having it explained to her, Grune is definitely on board. A holiday all about getting together with your friends and family and telling them how grateful you are for them? Definitely something relevant to her interests.

And so she's brought a big casserole dish of apple crumble (slightly more cooked on one side than the other, whoops) and is happy to portion it out...until she forgets what she's doing, anyway.

New friends and old--and friends she hadn't even met yet--come talk to her! She'll very much welcome the company.

And, bam, here is Vegeta trying to sneak a big spoonful of that apple crumble Grune had handily forgotten about. He has a turkey leg stuffed in his mouth and a plate of food piled high from his chest to his chin. But a little more food never hurt anyone...

He chokes a little on his leg when he looks up and realizes who you look like.

No worries--I do that alllll the time. XD;; lostinmyway November 21 2011, 16:56:43 UTC
Grune doesn't notice Vegeta until he starts choking, but once she hears that unfortunate sound, she moves...relatively quickly to his side to reach down and pat him on the back. "Oh, my. Are you all right?"

Any thought that Grune might be his harpy of a sort-of-wife vanishes the moment she shows him that smidgen of concern. Too nice to be the woman, is his thought as he tries to swallow the turkey leg. He gives a great, painful sounding gulp and--

"Cough, cough. I'm fine! You..." Startled me is what he was going to say, but he doesn't want to admit to being caught off guard by some woman at a party. Instead, he lapses into silence and tries to get a good look at Grune from the corner of his eye.

[Kyon enters without much fanfare, or indeed, any fanfare. He looks around at all the people he doesn't know and sighs to himself. What could really be going on here? The last time he was in an alternate universe, it barely lasted three days. Maybe that RPG--]

'But let's not get carried away with nostalgia for times past too much.'

[Being antisocial, he will probably be just chilling against the wall not talking to anyone and eating, looking slightly thoughtful but mostly blank.]

Ah! Another person just chilling in the back! The man in red, now done with his food, waltzes on over as casually as his restlessness would allow. If the kid who was his target saw the grin he was trying to suppress, the man's intent was obvious.

Lupin III wasn't a man to deal with quiet affairs very well. He needed someone to talk to.

"Hey," he said, his voice too loud and his smile too eager, "nice party, huh? What's keeping you over here? The food's pretty good.!"

Kyon, on the other hand, was definitely in favor of quiet affairs. Whenever possible, which was not always, to say the least. He looked up at the other person, a little bit blankly.

"I am eating it, yeah," he said in response. It might not have been a particularly adequate response, but he didn't know what else to say.

It indeed wasn't the right thing to say. Lupin frowned at the person he was trying to talk to.

"I see that...but is it good?"

His first question hadn't been answered yet either. It just gave Lupin more reason to stick around--he liked a good challenge.

Will tag around after class! consultmybooks November 21 2011, 18:17:18 UTC
Giles had offered himself up at the last minute to help with whatever preparations still needed preparing. Time passed so strangely when you were small. He still couldn't look back at the last few days and think that he'd been changed nearly a week, and returning to his proper size and age had left him staggered for a while ( ... )

HEY. HEY GUYS. HEY. *SPARKLES* pose_andsparkle November 21 2011, 21:42:09 UTC
[Per his usual over exuberance, Armstrong Enters the school cafeteria giving off SPARKLES and exposing his magnificent Physique. A usual entrance for the man then.]

Greetings Citizens of Luceti!

[Flex, Pose, Sparkle. Alex is most overjoyed to meet new people! And Traumatize many more.

You may notice a few sparkles falling into the food. Don’t worry, they fade away on their own, and won’t hurt you. Probably.]

((ooc: Yeaaah. Armstrong gets ALL THE REACTIONS. Tee hee. I blame thank Masa and Cata.))

[The big sparkling man was hard to miss. His posing was even more so.

It was a flame that inescapably drew the moth that was Lupin III. He plowed over, giant grin on his face.]

And Greetings to You, Good Sir!

[He would have doffed his hat if he wore one. Instead, he gave a cordial, if very theatrical, bow.]

[Armstrong gave the red-jacketed man a smile.]

Thank you! My name is Alex Louis Armstrong, at your service.

[Armstrong returns the bow, but his is more military than theatrical.]

And mine is Arsene Lupin III. It's easy to remember--we have the same initials!

[He offers a hand in greeting to the big man.]

It's a pleasure making your acquaintance!

[Distractions are a welcome sight to see around Link right now. In fact, Giles is just going to subtly add to the distractions by nudging a tray of brownies within arm's reach of Link.]

Having fun?

[Tiredness is only be expected, looking better is sincerely to be hoped for.] I should hope so. That seems to be one of the main attractions of Thanksgiving, among other things.

...glad you could stop by.
