[It'll be easy to spot this gal in the orchard, seeing as she's wearing a bright yellow winter jacket. Pao-lin's happily pickin' away, seemingly heedless of the cold or snow -- really, where the hell does this girl get all her energy from? Must come with being a potential shounen heroine or something.

Anyway, she'll be filling up way more baskets than she'll be taking home, so if you don't feel like busting your ass for mikans, go ahead and hit this girl up for the fruity goods.]

Probably the first. \o/ mikangirl November 16 2011, 16:27:10 UTC
[Nami will swing by at the point it's starting to move towards evening, mug of hot chocolate on offer.]

Here. Pao-Lin, right?

[Pao-lin, who's perched on a high tree branch, cranes her neck over to see what Nami's holding.]

Oh, hi, Nami!

[She fearlessly scrambles down a couple of branches and then jumps the rest of the way to the ground, landing easily on her feet.]

Is that hot chocolate?

[Fff... fast kid. You remind her of Luffy.]

Yep. Hope you like it! Though we also have hot cider here if you'd prefer.

[You can find Bellemere aaaany time, rushing through with her own baskets; even without any special powers, she was a pro, fast and efficient and careful. She'll be throwing around directions for people to cover, things for people to do: we have some baskets that need carting out. Snow that needs stopping. Trees that need to be picked clean of anything good. She gives examples of what are salvageable and what should be dumped.

Even if everything's free here, she'll never underplay the value of a fruit.

Hell, she lived off mostly them for a long time, after all.]

[Rydia arrives when she can spare a moment away from the Center. She waves, secure in a warm cloak and sturdy boots.]

Hey! Where do you want these?

[She gestures to the baskets that have been filled and need carting out. Snow isn't something she can stop, but quick transportation? That she can do.]

[Bellemere grins up. Aaah, another person who can appreciate crazy hair colors! :D]

I was just about to start takin' them to Seventh Heaven, actually! Wanna join me in the effort?

Sure! In fact, I can make that pass a lot faster for you, if you don't mind a little magic.

both days, up in the sky! or on the ground, either works. temperedtempest November 16 2011, 11:01:10 UTC
[Ororo's promised to help keep the snow at bay for Nami, and so she'll be doing exactly that! Sometimes she'll be up in the sky, but when she gets tired, she'll be on the ground as well. No matter where you find her though, she'll be in Avatar State weather witch mode: eyes and hands aglow with hair flying all around her.]

[Don't be afraid! Feel free to approach, perhaps give her a hand at dispersing the snow if that's your thing, or yell at her to take a break or two. No matter what she looks like, she's not really a goddess and is just as human as most of you, in need of rest now and then.]

[Nami can't fly, but she'll be on the ground in Storm's general proximity lending a hand doing much the same with the climatact on a lesser scale-- and being envious as a result, but seriously. You cut an awesome figure up there.

She's just as bad at taking breaks, but when she does take one (or is forced to by various mothers or chefs), she'll try calling Storm down for one as well.]

[Oh Nami, wait til you see Thor in action. If you think Storm is anything to be envious about, you haven't seen anything yet.]

[Still though, eventually Storm is going to notice Nami calling her down. With the snow falling as much as it is, she won't hear the exact words - but she'll go ahead and fly back down anyway, if only to find out why she was being summoned.]

Is everything all right?

Yes! Everything's great! Just... I'm taking a break for a cocoa, wondered if you wanted one.

[Luke might have powers beyond that of normal humans, but they didn't help picking mikans at all. So, he's just like most everyone else, standing on his toes to pick the fruit. Or... well, he does have something: He can jump pretty high.

It's just after he lands after grabbing a mikan from slightly higher up that he looks down at it for a minute. Huh...]

Last time I ate one of these things, I got poisoned.

[He says it mostly to himself, remembering that... odd fairy tale experiment. Now that it isn't poisoned... or, rather, he thinks it isn't poisoned, Luke thinks it looks kind of tasty.

Maybe he can sneak in lunch/dinner with this baby.]

[During the afternoon, after sneaking away from the smithy, Sokka will be around picking some mikans too. And overhear that like the perfectly ordinary non-ninja he is.]

What, did you leave it out in the sun too long?

[The only indication of surprise Luke gives is to dart his glance over to Sokka before he slowly puts the mikan in the basket. Right. He wasn't going to do anything in this thing. Really.]

No, the mikan was poisoned.

And yet here you are, picking them. Not exactly one of your smarter moves there, huh?

[Nami is not actually doing a great deal of harvesting herself. Instead, she's working with Storm-- and anyone else who can assist in this regard-- in an attempt to keep the worst of the chill and the snow off the orchard. Which means she's findable at different points in the orchard itself, climatact out... and the air at ground level is surprisingly warm for a day full of snow. Not enough to take your jackets off, but the bite is out of the air. Her fruit is not dying to the chill.

She'll take breaks on occasion to fill a basket or make sure others are doing okay/nag them into doing it right. Feel free to harass at will. 8|]

[Well Sokka will come and help for a few hours on the first day. He's got his own job and Zack has a pretty ridiculous order he needs to work on. That said, with all the weather people around, it's actually pretty cool (or warm rather) up here. Go figure.]

So um. Nami. You've got flying people in the air. That's. Productive. [He says as he works on filling a basket.]

mikangirl November 16 2011, 15:54:35 UTC
More productive than you'd think. [Glancing back down to earth and blinking tiredly at Sokka, before giving him a grin.] I wish I could do that.

--uh. Thanks for coming up, too.

I figured I could spare a few hours. I needed a break from the smithy anyway.

[Still. Flying people. Weird. He'll settle back on eye contact.] Personally I think the flying's overrated. [He'd rather achieve flight through technology, okay.]
