What kind of opening for a nightclub would it be without some kind of performance? After a good deal of discussion on songs and music and possibly a few drinks, Ginia, Derek, and Giles manage to figure out a small setlist. Nothing too rocking or hard, just some music to entertain everyone and keep things fun.

Ginia takes her seat at the piano and lifts the cover off the keys, admiring the keys before doing a few quick warmup chords and scales to get her fingers warmed up. She'll also play any notes the guys might need to tune up.

Derek follows soon after, bringing both the tequila bottle and a pitcher of water and a glass with him. He'll settle all three under a nearby chair before going to fish out the electric guitar from the back of the stage area.

He'll set up with a proficiency that speaks of his own musical background and starts to quietly tune the strings to make sure they're ready while he waits for Giles and Ginia to settle in.

Once things had begun to wind down, Jack made his way over to the bar, sitting himself on a stool, and leaning against the counter with his back to her.

"Not much of an opening, was it?" It was a bit disappointing overall. "I guess the ironic Monday opening was a bad idea."

Ginia sets aside the glass she was polishing - the small row of glassware gleamed under the lights - and picks up her notepad to write out a quick message.

Think about the population. Lots of teens and kids around or people that don't really care. But people did show up and we're open again so who can complain?

She stops writing for a moment to look around the nightclub, adding in another thought before handing the notepad over.

It looks great.

Here's hoping the dress code is open to little red birds as well as little red dresses.

Kazooie has decided to show up to Cloud Nine, after the announcement a few days back. She's never one to turn down a party, and she needs all the ideas she can get for her Hero Party. Maybe there'll be a few heroes here.

She's not totally immune to being classy, either, even though she's a cartoon. Around her neck, there's a fancy little black bow tie, and she may or may not (depending on how much it annoys her) be sporting a matching black dressy vest. Other than that, she's her usual clothesless self, but being a bird means clothes aren't too important. Don't worry - she isn't shedding any feathers in the drinks, if that's what you're worried about.

She is quite rambunctious - one might almost say irritating (and would probably be more accurate if one did) - and willing to talk, though expect her to definitely side-eye the alcohol. Isn't this supposed to be an E-rated game ( ... )

[So it took some doing, some scouting, and a lot of Haruhi feeling very unsure, but the end result is that "Sokka" and Suki are having their night at the club. And Haruhi could not possibly feel more awkward. she's just planning to end this date at home. Any way possible to end it at home.

After concluding that Sokka indeed had nothing of value to wear, she actually opted (because Japanese formalwear was out, she has no idea what "Water Tribe" formalwear even is, and Sokka is modernized in Luceti enough that she can use this as an excuse) to put on a suit for him. A nice, formal, impeccable, bowtie (to be IC - Sokka would totally wear a bowtie) suit.

And she's walking in with Suki. Hand in hand? Suki on her arm? Either. The point is, it's their night tonight. Even if half of them is so very /unsure]

let's try this with less testosterone sokkafangirl September 14 2011, 03:01:39 UTC
[Suki herself is dressed neatly in a lovely party dress she found, with new earrings to accent it and her hair up. ...Well, as up as she could get it at the length she has it cut. She really ought to grow it out if life is going to be so darned peaceful most of the time. Heels were a little beyond her current girly limits, sadly. She's a little afraid of breaking a foot or something.

Her arm is tucked through Haruhi's at the moment, but she's keeping herself nice and cozy at the side of her "fiance".]

It's so pretty here, all lit up at night like this! I knew this was a good idea.

Yeah! It doesn't seem that bad here.

[Because right now, well, despite sweating bullets she's also somewhat captivated by how hot looking Sokka's fiancee is right now. That is a very nice dress and there's only a few minor improvements she could have come up with personally]

[Awwwww yeah, got the boyfriend's attention now. Suki's definitely pleased, as evidenced by the way her arm tightens a little around his, her cheek hovering close to his shoulder. ...He's too tall now, what is this 8|]

Not bad at all! Though it would be nicer if more people were dancing, I think.
