[Nill stares up in awe at the massive amusement park in front of her.]

[To be fair, she's never seen an amusement park before, so this is a massive amount of New Things for her. It all looks both exciting and scary at the same time--and there's food and robots dressed up and they could stay at a hotel nearby? Amazing! And definitely better than an experiment. Thank goodness it wasn't ready, that meant they could all have fun!]

[Nill immediately gets a large, fluffy stick of cotton-candy, which she keeps poking with her tongue and watching it melt as though it were the most fascinating thing in the world. What was it...?]

[She carries the strange sweet-thing around, watching people ride the rides and play the games--blanching at the roller coasters... So much to take in. She hopes Haine will let them stay at least the week, there's too much to do in just two or three days!]

[Nill turns around and puts a finger to her lips: Thaaat's a secret! At least, for the next few minutes while Nill takes Draco to where she wants to take him. Of course, he probably wouldn't enjoy girly things like the 'Merry Go Round' thing, but the zoo had all sorts of interesting things!]

[Yes, she's dragging him to the petting zoo. I hear there are ferrets.]

All right, all right. [And he'll let himself be lead, though that eyebrow's lifting even higher when he realizes where they're going. This whole park is designed to troll him with ferrets.]

I should have known.

[Nill looks back, concerned that she's taken Draco to someplace he doesn't like--maybe he has allergies? If he does have allergies, maybe she can show him the non-furry things... There were quite a few that she liked.]

[She looks down at the ground, worrying her hands a little. After looking back into the petting zoo, she looks up at Draco. Should they go somewhere else?]

[Don't worry, Nill, he's actually smiling a little.] Decent choice. I wasn't even aware this was here.

[Oh good! Nill's wings twitch up and she smiles, happy that Draco seems to approve (even if his words don't exactly suggest that).]

[She takes his hand again and pulls him into the zoo. Past all of the more fluffy, pretty animals, and over to a tank with a pale yellow snake curled up inside it. About the same color as her hair.]

[Nill grins at Draco and reaches into the tank.]

[When she walks them past the fluffy animals, he lifts his eyebrows even higher in surprise. Where...what? But when she stops in front of the snake tank he just stares at her. And when she's actually reaching for it? Let's just say he's definitely both shocked and impressed.]

You. Like snakes. [Suddenly things make a little more sense.]

[Nill likes all sorts of animals! But until yesterday, she'd never seen a snake before. And it did such a neat trick!]

[She pulls it out of its cage and places it on her shoulders. Instinctively, it starts wrapping around her warm neck--and she grins. It's like it's giving her a hug!]

[He'll just be monitoring that snake there. So long as it doesn't try to kill her...] I see you've made a friend. I'm impressed, actually. Most girls your age are afraid of snakes.

[She blinks, a little surprised. Why would anyone be afraid of this? It had such cute little eyes and sometimes it flicked its tongue out into her ear or at her fingers. And it was such a pretty yellow color.]

Just remember that girls are strange, Nill. Incredibly strange. [He's still just monitoring her though.] He seems rather calm around you...have you handled snakes at home before?

[Oh... Nill hasn't met many incredibly strange girls, but Draco must have some experience with them if he could make statements like that. Maybe she was a little strange, handling something that just wrapped around her neck and poked at her face with its tongue, but she found it so endearing...]

[She looks up from patting the snake's little head when Draco asks his question. Nill shakes her head in response--she's mostly dealt with puppies and kittens. She hasn't really seen anything like this before. She hasn't even seen a demi-human who had characteristics like this animal.]

[Snake still around her neck, Nill takes Draco's hand again and leads him over to the less-exotic animals: namely the dogs and cats. She points at them and nods, then pats the snake again and shakes her head.]

[No, Draco just tends to think everyone but himself is strange. But when she leads him to the smaller animals, he takes a look before glancing at the snake again. Between Nill and Ginia, he's getting much better at understanding things without words.]

Ah. Normal animals, then. [He crouches a bit to get a better look at the dogs and cats in front of them.] These make more sense, but I won't reprimand you for going above and beyond your expectations. Besides, cats and dogs are far too common.

[Normal animals... yes, Nill supposes these would be considered normal--given the sort of strange things that are in the rest of the zoo. It was more likely to see demi-humans who were born with features of cats and dogs, because those animals were cute. They were kept as pets before someone had the idea to start giving humans cute features... and start selling them.]

[Nill looks sadly at the kittens sleeping in little piles in the cage, and picks one up to pet. Now she has a cat in her arms and a snake around her neck. She's starting a collection, it seems.]

[Of course even with all of that, he still can't quite decipher everything, which is why he's a bit confused when Nill's face clouds over a bit.]

What's that look for anyway? I wasn't aware kittens were a sad thing.

[Right, kittens aren't a sad thing, not at all. Draco didn't need to know about where Nill came from, what she was, any of that. Not right now at least. They were at an amusement park--it could wait until some other time.]

[She shakes her head to indicate she's alright, smiles, and offers the sleepy kitten to Draco. She has a snake, he can have a kitten!]
