Who: luceti What: See subject title! When: August 14, 2011 Where: The beach! Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once? Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.
I think it's tons better than any flag. [She smiles rather happily, as she drops her work for a moment to admire the chuparosa.]
It makes our castle unique, doesn't it? It's what sets it apart from the rest of the ones on the beach. [Reaching for the petals, she'll try and touch one of them if there's no protest from Yuuka.] Was that magic? ... It's really cool!
[There are no protests as long as Minako is gentle with the flower. After all, this was just some random bloom and not a part of her gardens.]
So you find my ability to manipulate flowers is 'cool'? It amuses me how humans find something that was quite commonplace in my world such a miraculous thing here. [The normal humans from Gensokyo would probably find magic flower powers pretty amazing too, but she never bothered using her ability in front of them.]
There's no reason for me to lie about it, is there?
[Hand retreating back as she continues on forming the castle, she'll finish carving out the door before saying anything else. When she worked, she liked to be concentrated so the best of her efforts could be put in.]
It's not something a lot of people have where I'm from, so I guess that would explain why. I'm capable of a few things, but they're not as... real, compared to yours.
[That, and most of her power only served to destroy, not create with a few exceptions here and there.]
[Wasting time, building a tower awfully slowly, patting some sand down here and there... Hold the phone.]
Being capable of something is far better than not being capable of anything at all~ Would you care to tell me what it is that you are competent at doing?
Magic, I see. That covers quite the broad number of possibilities however depending on what someone such as yourself would class as magic.
[She's fairly certain she knows what a naginata is, having never seen one however. So there's a small nod there with an accompanying grin.]
Aside from the ability to control flora, I can provide my blooms with additional longevity. Should I ever desire it, I could cause sunflowers to flourish in the harshest of winter chills for example~

--I have the ability to use spellcards, as well as...
[Pewpewpewpew-- A couple of flower-shaped projectiles fly forth from her hand and sink into the towers of sand they had been making. Petals and sand fly everywhere. Oh the carnage.]
Why so cruel ;u;arcanaxxiiSeptember 1 2011, 03:17:26 UTC
It's nothing that can measure up to yours.
[It's just about that moment that she finishes the last touches on the castle. Sitting back in content, she side glances at Yuuka; showing that she had her full attention.]
... Ah.
[Somehow, the knock down of the castle didn't quite surprise her. She didn't show any signs other than neutrality in her expression. Reaching towards where the castle once was, she grabs a fistful of sand letting it slide through her fingers not even a second later.]
I know I'm terrible ;w;floralphantasmSeptember 1 2011, 17:35:30 UTC
It's good to know a human such as you is capable of identifying true power when they come across it.
[Well this was fun and everything, but it wasn't. She turns to leave now, kicking a little sand as she does in Minako's direction.]
Never engage with me in such pathetic excuses you humans brand as 'fun' ever again~ Otherwise it will be your head that meets the same fate as these constructions today.
[Instead of being civil this time around, something inside of her snaps. Slowly stretching during the time she spent with Yuuka, whether it snapped because of the kicked sand or the pathetic comment, she'll whip around to face Yuuka with an expression that she rarely ever uses.]
... I think it's equally pathetic that this is what you're using your power for. Strong power or not, it doesn't give you the right to walk over people like this.
[A response was not something she was expecting, so she'll stop walking for a moment to reply.]
Funny, you voice your own views on what you deem to be pathetic as though I care about a human's own opinions~ Honestly, should you wish to continue squawking like this, please do so in regards to this 'magic' you possess. Otherwise do not open that beak of yours at all~
You may have your own unique abilities, but everyone here is in exact same boat as you are. Everyone's on the same playing ground. [Power wasn't the solution to anything, she knew that, but it was the first time in a while where she was actually starting to get angry.]
... Forget it, I'm going to have actual decency and not start a scene here of all places.
[Well those were some wonderful words there Minako, but she was finished with this conversation long ago, and so doesn't really care what a silly human has to say anymore.
Honestly, she's sick of all this talk other people are giving her about being the same as everyone else. She's a youkai, not some feeble human and should not be grouped as such.
Oh well, time to get back to that garden. Perhaps she'll get to see this girl's 'magic' some other day~]
Hey, there! Want to do something together?

You could say I can do magic too, I guess. [Her voice is a little hesitant, wording her sentence very carefully.]
I'm good with a naginata, too. Is there anything else you can do, besides form flowers?
