30th Anytime during the day/night

[Alexei didn't find anything strange until he left the Community building 1 today and was suddenly in a mountainous terrain instead of on a street. If this was just an illusion, it certainly felt real enough. And there was...something almost familiar about the terrain.

He starts to explore the new scenery, keeping a look out for any sort of movement. There were large craters scarring the mountainous terrain. A battle had taken place here...why does it feel like he's been here before? At first, he thought he was the only one here, until he spotted some type of machinery moving towards him. Murder machines. These were his own creations back home. Soon as the machines registered his presence they began to fire at him. So they couldn't recognize him. No matter, he drew his blade and took down any of the Murder bots that came into range as he moves away from the area. Fighting them felt like the real thing, until they were destroyed. They would just disappear into bits of data

[The Outbreaker continues to fire that beam at Hakumen until something exploded. It had been a bomb that Alexei had planted on the creature and it sent it flying. It crashes back onto the ground and left in a daze from the confusion.

Alexei moves closer and slams his sword onto the ground to send a row of icicles at the creature to keep it down a little longer.]

[The eyes on the Susano'o unit focus quickly at Alexei as those icicles go off and Hakumen quickly infers that he made it happen. Was this Ars Magus, like the sort Jin Kisaragi could use? Or something else. Whatever the case, Hakumen prepares his sword once more for the creature to come at them.]

What sort of beast is this?

[Flynn had been avoiding as much conflict as he could the past few days, deeming it difficult to keep his breath before finding himself lacking enough strength to defend himself. However, he knew that if he saw someone needing help, he could not ignore it. But that's when he comes across the scene of Alexei trying to defend himself.

Of course, that instantly makes the urge to try and assist difficult given who it was. But it wouldn't feel right to just ignore it. He looked like he was outnumbered, and Flynn wasn't about to try and be vindictive or some such.

He's going to try and enter the fray.] Demon Fang!

[Flynn knocks down a Murder that was aiming for Alexei. It's shots misfire and catches Alexei's attention.

...This was unexpected. And yet this was Flynn Scifo. Maybe it wasn't so surprising to see him raise a hand to help.]

I can handle things here. [Right, as the Outbreaker fires a massive laser beam in their general direction.]

[Flynn isn't going to start some smart banter or something with Alexei. It's not the time nor the place for something like that. And that's more Yuri's deal. He'll just stick with the necessities, all while bringing up his shield to try and block that laser beam. Keyword is try.]

It doesn't look that way to me.

[Flynn's going to be sent flying, if he's trying to block that beam head on. Alexei gets out of the way and sends his sword into the ground to send a Grave Worm attack back at the Outbreaker and knocking the beam go off course, just chipping Flynn. The Murders nearby were closing in.]

Take down those machines. I'll watch this thing.

[YOU DO CARE, ALEXEI. YOU DO! :D!] Nngh! [Flynn takes some of that chipped laser, finding himself stumbling backwards a few steps. Regaining balance was a little difficult, but he manages quickly enough to turn to face those robotic menaces. Of all the things to have to end up fighting.]

... Fine. [That thing isn't to be underestimated, Alexei!] I'll handle just that! [Another Demon Fang will have to suffice for now. Once they get closer, he'll go for a Sword Rain. But for now, he's trying to keep an eye on the enemies and Alexei. As far as he's concerned, Alexei happens to be an enemy as well.]

[Oh shush, more like he doesn't want to deal with your comrades, if you came home seriously wounded after this.

Alexei's too busy dealing with flying manta monster to go sneaky on Flynn. You can solo-Unknown mode him later. Unlike the heroes, he has never seen this thing before and not sure what to expect from it. It turns to face Alexei and charges in to ram him. Wonder how it'll take physical damage. He side steps and swings his blade for an Ill Wind attack and ducking to avoid its flipper arm. All it did was bounce awkwardly from the attack and angerier.

It wails loudly sending a shockwave from it's cry. That was effective enough to stop Alexei momentarily and it turns to hit him with it's tail. He was knocked back, but remain unharm as he blocked before he was thrown aside.]

It's stronger than I thought...

[Flynn is trying to stay one step ahead of the Murders, constantly barraging it with normal attacks followed by an arte or two. Sword Rain seems to be the most effective at the moment, even though it's gradually wearing him out quicker than other artes. But he's taking decent care of those machines while Alexei has his party with his new friend.

Occasionally, Flynn will shoot a glance over to Alexei and the beast while blocking weak attacks from his foes. It's during that time that Flynn realizes that he also recognizes that monster, and it wasn't just the Murders that he recognized.

Great.] Don't underestimate it! [And it's during that realization that he's getting struck to the ground.]

[He glances over to Flynn, seeing him get knocked down...has he been fighting before this encounter? The Outbreaker wails loudly raising a fin to smack Alexei, but he was ready for it this time. He backsteps and sends a wave of icicles to hinder it's movement.

Then he takes this opportunity to fall back and knock a few Murders that were getting too close, away from Flynn.]

You know what that thing is?

[Flynn manages to get to his feet, panting a little heavily from taking such a blow. Damn, that hurt.]

I've seen it a few times, yes. [He readies himself to take the Murders again.] From back home.

It's from our world? [Geez and he thought it was just a wade of useless data that Luceti didn't know what to do with it. The Outbreaker frees itself from the icicles and shoots energy shaped like shooting stars at them. Quickly, Alexei raises a barrier of ice around himself and Flynn as he uses Guardian Frost. Now feel better and be useful]

What sort of monster is it? [And if it's not, it certainly doesn't look like an Entelexia]

[He's up and ready. Exhausted as all hell, but he's going to try fighting again. He's just waiting for that barrier to go down before attempting to run out there a fight, since he's not entirely sure if it's all that safe. Plus, conversation is being.]

A creature that came from the Adephagos, I believe.

[fallenambitions]

[Well that was a response he did not expect and he looks taken aback by it.] From the Adephagos? That thing?

[What irony, to be confronted by a creature from the catastrophe he brought back. That ice barrier of his isn't going to hold up much longer. And dammit, why is Flynn still not looking good?]

Tch. I need some time. Are you fit at all to distract them? [He slams his blade into the ground and knocks the Outbreaker off balance with a Grave Worm attack and then turns and knocks a few murders down with a Raging Ice Fang to give them a little more time.]

Yes, it's true. [Flynn isn't looking good, that much is true. He's exerted himself far too much with the combination of his death penalty and unexpected combat. He hasn't conditioned himself well enough to do better otherwise, but that may take an unreasonable amount of time to do so anyway. Flynn just looks and watches Alexei's attempts to buy time against the monster and machines.]

I'll try my best to do so. [He readies himself as he steadies his breathing, falling into stance with his sword and shield.] What are you planning to do?
