[The Everfree Forest isn't exactly all that frightening, considering the other horrors the village is enduring. There are terrible sounds of dangerous things out there! Monsters beyond all imagination! A Manticore with a thorn in his paw, which Fluttershy isn't around to remove. Needless to say, Rarity is cowering over by a tree, screaming.]

Help! Oh, somepony, help me! I'm all alone and there are things coming to get me! I might be eaten!

[The Shredder just happens to be out for a stroll when he happens upon a screaming unicorn (?) and a giant beast. He considers the manticore calmly. He supposes he could just stand here and watch the manticore attack the helpless pony.]

You realize that it is only an hologram, right?

[Ch'rell says, eyeing it. He stands about the same distance away from both creatures. If the creature does somehow end up harming the unicorn, then so be it.]

[And that seems to be exactly what those monsters do, ice blades striking and freezing them solid before they crumble along with the ice when it breaks and shatters away.

Why in the hell he's even out here is a good question, but when Jin heard someone screaming (somepony?) he couldn't help but follow the voice to the point of origin.

Jin didn't even see the unicorn at first, simply some of the monsters and had moved to make waste of them.

Now, with task currently completed (he's sure more will come, unfortunately), he feels it's safe enough to sheath Yukianesa and slowly turn to look at the... white mare hiding near the tree.

[As the silhouettes of yet another horde of monsters make their appearance off in the distance, Tsubaki can't help but wonder why Jin suddenly decided that it would be a good idea to sheath his sword. This is really no time to be overconfident.]

[But then she sees what seems to have captured his attention.] ...Huh? [She's never seen a unicorn before, but she'll let Jin investigate while she keeps an eye on the enemy.
