[You know, when he sees an egg blow someone up, Masaomi feels it's past the threshold of sanity and instead of starting, or trying to see where it came from, he just whistles in admiration at it. He doesn't really recognize where he is. He was en route to the Rec Center but now, well...]

[And here's the bird who shot it, proudly flicking her short tail feathers as she races up to where the remnants of the clam with exaggerated eyestalks used to be.

Masaomi himself is standing in an area that has a lot more sand and water than the path to the Rec Centre should. Not to mention the fact that he's standing on the salt-weathered deck of a pirate ship moored in a small cove fringed with palm trees - which are covered in Red Feathers and Notes, respectively. A jaunty sea shanty plays in constant ambience all around them as they stand on the deck of the boat.

Kazooie turns to him at the whistle.]

Probably shouldn't've wasted a Grenade Egg on a Yum-yum, but it sure made for a cool explosion.

[Not just any bird, though. A red-crested breegull!]

It's only annoying 'cause Grenade Eggs are hard to find. The Nests in that Weapons Shop place don't switch like they're supposed to!

[... Masaomi is the second human male Kazooie has seen in her entire life. Though, right now, that hasn't really registered yet.]

I can, but I don't like doing it. [It's uncomfortable to lay inexplicable eggs from nowhere!] And it's harder to aim 'em then.

But I have to find 'em in Nests first anyway. [Oh, video game birds and their logic.] Would be nice to be able to make Grenade Eggs wherever I want though. Jamjars oughta teach me that next!

[Wait, there's another of those clam things. He tries to go for punching it out]

[Banjo-Kazooie logic at its finest. Normally she spits them though.

Yum-yums attack! This one isn't particularly bright, bouncing along the bridge of the ship like an idiot and right into Masaomi's fist. It flinches backwards, spinning in place in a way that seems entirely nonsensical for a clam... if, y'know, giant bouncing clams with googly eyes on stalks were normal.

Kazooie's not putting up with that bouncing crap, though. Not at all.]

Get outta here, Yum-yum!

[A single Blue Egg launches from her beak - giving Masaomi a better view of it this time - and strikes the Yum-Yum with a loud cracking noise. Where it promptly vanishes.]

... That disappearing thing is still weird.

[...Ah...haha. He says this with an amused tone, deciding to treat this situation like a dream]

Well, of course! I wouldn't be a real hero if I wasn't. [Having lived and breathed weirder for most of her life, this is pretty bland to Kazooie, in all honesty.]

So what brings you to this part of Treasure Trove Cove, huh? I don't think ol' Blubberguts is anywhere around...

Actually... It sort of appeared around me when I was looking to go somewhere else. I'm not quite sure where this is anymore.

Yeah, that's happening a lot now, actually. Place is going all crazy. [Kazooie shrugs a little non-committally.] S'fun for beating stuff up, though!

I really wish I'd get a Jiggy for all this junk, however. It's been way too long since I've seen one around here...
