"A lip what?" Does he really wanna know? "No, I I don't wanna know. A-and it's not decorative it's-- it was just for criminals but things changed and...I'm not a criminal."
Professing innocence when not accused of anything is no way to win friends or influence people, headcase.

One hand is tugging on the sleeve of Glitch's coat. One hand is reaching for the snack table to grab a handful of whatever looks good.
"What's going on?"
Short as Lina is, she's practically in Glitch's shadow. The sorceress is gazing around warily, looking as though she might be regretting her decision to blindly follow this particular headcase through the door.

"Hey," he repeats and bobs his head. "I-it's a party for...um." He looks around the room but is quickly overwhelmed by all the unfamiliar faces, so he returns his attention to the sorceress. "Dawn, I think. I I talked to her through the book-thing."

She nudges Glitch lightly in the ribs. "The journals are pretty handy, aren't they? Good thing you figured them out, or you'd be way out of the loop."

He's still not used to having food be readily available, and gives the snack tables a somewhat loving look before Lina's jab redirects his attenion.
"Ha, yeah, i-it's the neatest thing," he says with a grin. "I still don't understand waht folks are talking about half the time, but I'll learn, I'm sure of it."

Lina gives the snack tables an equally loving look before turning back to Glitch.
"Eh, most of what they're talking about isn't that interesting. It's the interesting stuff you wanna look out for."

Glitch gives her a grin and expertly snatches a small bunch of grapes and starts plucking away at it, transferring the fruit from the stem to his mouth.
"I kinda think it's all interesting," he remarks around a mouthful of grapes. "I'm tryin' to learn, y'know, as much as I can with--" And he glances up to the zipper, to his half-a-brain. "S-so I listen in a bit. I've already learned a little about marauding."
Reply
"Marauding? Like, what...from that pirate?"
She grabs Glitch by the front of his coat and shakes him. "Glitch, quit it! I don't want to have to hunt you down and blow you up!"

Then there is grabbing and shaking and Glitch has a brief moment of panic, flight over fight but he can't go anywhere. He holds up his hands and shrinks in on himself, just a hint of fear in his wide eyes.
"I I I won't, I promise, I haven't even...I I didn't want to but I thought maybe-- I won't, I promise, I promise, I promise--"
Aaand now he's glitching. Another good shake ought to snap him out of it.

"Well! That was a...glitching, i-i-it happens. Um." Have a puzzled frown and a blink, Lina. "What were we saying?"
Reply
"We were saying that you're not allowed to become a pirate. Ever. Got it? And while we're at it, you're not allowed to glitch anymore! It's freaky!"
