Summary: It's Tanabtata, and Haruhi likes Tanabata. As a result, there will be fireworks and a little food and wishes to be made.

[Nill is fascinated by all of this. She saw most of this stuff going up earlier in the day, so even though it's dark out she has to go out and see what's going on. Haine would follow her anyway, so she would definitely be safe even if it was nighttime.]

[Of course it wasn't all lit-up and pretty when she first came by on her grocery-run that afternoon. She rearranges her scarf briefly, to cover her healing stitches, and begins exploring this new, exciting-looking experience.]

[It's been a while since Nill seemed excited about something. And though it's now where he'd prefer to spend his evening, he isn't about to ruin her fun. Of course, after the last scare, he isn't about to let her stray too far from his sight either. There's plenty to look at anyway, and if a night of playing dress up and watching fireworks will help, maybe it's not so bad. They've only seen fireworks before in movies anyway. Explosions don't really count.]

It's decent.

[Probably the closest he'll come to a compliment. He crosses his arms and looks over the booths and displays, seemingly unimpressed.]

[Decent is good! Decent means he isn't having a horrible time! Nill smiles and takes his hand so she can drag her escort around the various booths and find something fun or delicious.]

[The first thing that catches her attention is the strange circular food-things people are eating with toothpicks. And all at once! Nill watches for a moment before looking up at Haine. Should they try it?]

[For the time being, he's content to let her lead. The booths, even if they are simple and amateurish, seem to make her smile. When she stops to look at some of the people eating little round doughy-looking balls, he isn't sure what to tell her. Doesn't look like anything he's seen at Buon and that's about as foreign as his tastes get.]

Get some if you want. I'll finish it if you don't like them.

[He shrugs. Food is food and it smells alright from here. He points over to the booth that's giving them away and starts walking toward it.]

[Lina is tapping you on the shoulder.] What's going on? What's the occasion?

[Regardless of the answers she gets, the sorceress will be darting from booth to booth, chatting up fellow attendees, examining the lanterns, and eventually flying up to the nearest roof to watch the fireworks.]

I guess it could be a party for the New Feathers? They threw one when I got here a couple of months ago, over at the big Dome.

Hmm...it's hard to say. But it's a worth a try, isn't it?

[ Helios is just going to be off to the side watching the festivities and sipping on some of the provided tea. He always was a big fan of Tanabata having seen it multiple times thanks to knowing various myths living in Japan; he's had some rather interesting experiences with the holiday to say the least.

So to have something like the festival going on here was a nice way to ease back into normalcy. It's been a rather trying time this last month or so. What better way to enjoy the time here than to celebrate such a popular and inspirational holiday. ]

[Someone is just going to take a spot beside you, Helios. Sipping some tea of his own, Giles watches the lantern light and the crowds moving among them.]

There's going to be fireworks later.

[ Helios might choke on his tea a little when you say that. Scare him half to death you will. Helios will just chalk up his coughing with his tea going down the wrong pipe, excuse him. Okay, where was he? Oh right wishes. Clearing his throat now, yup. ]

Wish? Ah, yes I did actually. I do wonder if any of them will come true. [ Helios will blink. Fireworks that reminds him of the past experiment. But, no, it's not right to relate such a horrible thing with Tanabata. ]

Fireworks? Mm that will be something to see. You're staying for them I imagine?

[Patting on the back to help you cough up that tea, Helios.] S-Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you.

[Only when he's sure that Helios is capable of breathing will he add:]

[Horrible? Giles is looking forward to feeling something of the utter contentment he felt watching the fireworks with his family during the last experiment.]

[He's not familiar with the celebrations, so Roy is watching the fireworks go. After a while, he walks around, looking at the sights.]

[Masaomi said with a smirk as he... stood behind one of the stands. It's actually unmanned, but he figured if he can pretend to be the one dishing out dango he can score chicks]
