Summary: The residents of House 41 - AKA Team FF Lucky-And-Unlucky - finally go to the beach to get sunburned, play in the water, and... do backflips in the sand? Would you believe it was Lightning's idea in the first place?

[ After talking about it, accidentally getting herself dragged into swimsuit shopping, and then... finding all of them constantly distracted from pulling it off for one reason or another, it's about time Lightning's gotten herself a proper visit to the beach with AAAALL three of her friends! All things considered, she's in a pretty good mood today!

At least... as long as she keeps her mind off of recent events and problems that continue to loom over her, of course... and maybe it's hard to tell anyway with how she hardly smiles even now, but...

In any case, this is her general get-up for the day, plus just a button-up shirt on the way there, the inevitable bracelet or three, and that navel piercing of hers. And as soon as she's managed to drag everyone along? It doesn't take her long to start wandering off, most likely towards the waterline. After all, for as serious and hard-working as she always makes herself out to be, there's a reason why she not only worked in a beach town, but lived in a house that was literally in the water.

[Aerith's in good spirits for this trip--there's no excuse not to be, even if some troubling things have been happening in the village, this is their time to enjoy themselves. After that first charge into the water, she's actually playing it safe with the salt water. She's remembered that it's very different from the rivers and lakes and while she's an okay swimmer, she'd rather not get knocked over by a wave and get a mouthful of saline.

So she's sitting in the shallow waters, letting the waves lap over her and enjoying the sensation. When she spots Lightning further down the beach, she calls out.]

Are you swimming now?

[ For all her inevitable tendency to wander off, Lightning is bound to be keeping an eye on the others- it's not really a part of her duty now or anything, but she'd feel awful if... you know, any of them drowned while she's carrying around the training designed to prevent that. Just a little.

At the question she holds her hands out from her body in the approximation of a shrug, walking towards the other woman along that point where her feet are just barely in the water. She doesn't call out though, staying quiet until she's close enough to not have to resort to raising her voice. ]

Just looking.

But you'll do more than that, right? To me, it seems like the water wants to be enjoyed~

[Aerith's ready for sun and sand in her swimsuit, a dark one piece with a brighter, bolder red floral print front and center, which twists and dips. There's a low-hanging flirty skirt that comes off as soon as they hit the beach and a bracelet of coiled wire that stays on longer; either way she pulls out slightly ahead of the group and then leans back toward them, just to announce:]

Last one in's a rotten egg!

[And then takes off herself for the inviting water.]

Chocobo or cockatrice egg? There's a big difference!

[Mostly the stench. But Zack is only a few steps behind her, trying to keep up the pace. It's not like it's too difficult, since he's taller and has longer legs, but it's no fun to win by a landslide.]

[Ahhhh why does he have to be so tall. Not faaaaaiiir. She looks over her shoulder and tries to speed up, but, well. Shorter legs. See how well that works.] Cockatrice! Extra stinky. [She playfully sticks out her tongue.]

Uh oh, better speed up in that case! [And speed up he does, laughing and running beside her. Feels good to get up and move in an open area; sometimes the village really does feel too small.]
