[ Meryl takes a studying glance at the clouds. She can't say for sure that she is an expert on how weather works yet, but she's well used to telling the difference between rain clouds and shady ones. A smile quirks on her face. ]

No, I think we're safe, Milly. They're still pretty light. Even if it does, it's pretty nice to walk in the rain, so long as you dry off well when you get home.

Right! The last thing I'd want is to catch the sniffles. I wouldn't want that at all, I might give it to everyone else and we'd all be completely miserable, and that would be just awful!

[So... you'd better behave clouds. She's watching you >.> ]

With how many colds I've gotten here, I can tell you, it's good to take some precaution against the weather when you first come here. I think I spent a month in bed when I went through my first winter. The boy I took in had to take care of me. It was really embarrassing. [ She sighs a little and shakes her head at her own medical misfortunes. Luffy probably has a better count of her track record than she does, though. ]

Gee Meryl, I'm really sorry I got here so late. I should have been here making you chicken soup and making sure you were properly taken care of through all the sniffles.

[Her face grows more resolved and she slams her fist into her open palm in a decisive gesture.]

Well that settles it. Next time you get all sniffly and poorly I will take extra specially good care of you to make up for all the times you got sick and I wasn't here, otherwise I would be just the most awful partner ever.
