Whoa, whoa! It's like it goes on forever! That's awesome!

[Suffice to say that Edward is going to like the ocean.

Still lacking the ability to swim, though, what with about a third of his body currently being made of metal, his first act after the initial "ooooooh it's an ocean!" is to lay down a towel, stretch, and flop on it to relax, abandoning his usual full-body-covering clothes in favour of his tank top and a pair of beach trunks. Why did it take him so long to realize how good it felt to just sit around and chill? All that rushing around he used to do seems so pointless now.

So he may not be out and about or swimming, but at least he'll be easy to find? The sun's glare on his automail is a dead giveaway.

He'll also be keen to explore the place or fool around once he's properly motivated, so feel free to give him a nudge in the right direction.]

[Winry starts to set up a large beach-umbrella right next where Ed's towel lies. She brought it with him in mind, too. He'll need a shady area to cool off his automail if the sun heats it up to much. she also has beach cloths on that consists of the pink bikini Haruhi had made for her, and an orange wrap tied around her waist.]

Have you put on sunscreen yet?

[Edward glances over, sitting up and stretching his arms out a bit.]

Do I even need sunscreen if I've got the umbrella?

You're not going to stay under here all day, will you?

[ al always thought that ed would do a little better if he could relax a little more.

... but this is pretty terrifying.

not being in the right sort of body to get wet, al just sits on the beach. while the swimmers are swimming, he'll be alternating through thumbing through the backlogs of the journals and just watching everyone splash around. ]

[After taking a break from swimming, Winry approaches Al. He doesn't seem like he's enjoying himself to much, so she feels the need to engage him.]

Hey, Al! [She waves to the boy as she exits the water.]

[ oh winry. al glances up from the book - unlike ed, he's not dead to the world when he starts in on something.

though right now? he's thumbing through the entries made by and about cats. at the sound of her voice, he's thinking about flipping it to something a little more relevant... oh that's an old entry that caught people at an inopportune moment. uh. uh. uh.

... cats it is. ]

Yeah, but I haven't spent time with everyone today yet. Do you want to do something fun?

[After setting up a few lain chairs, towels, and the beach umbrella, Winry's wrap can be found discard and herself in the water. She sports the pink bikini, with little ruffling, that Haruhi made her. The girl's hair is up in a twist so it won't get soaked. Join her? She may splash you a bit.]

[As they finish setting up the camp Haruhi catches Winry alone for one of the first times today. She nudges her in the side-]

Hey, question.

[The blonde turns her attention toward Haruhi with curiosity.]

Yeah?

I know he can't swim [point to Ed] but what about him? [point to Al.

It's out of concern, really]

[Haruhi has three objectives on this venture trip: to swim (1), to force Edward to hunt down trees on the mountainside and this create the boat (2), and possibly set up a bonfire for a roasting dinner on the beach that night (3). Any of these objectives would be time consuming, but after Winry setting up shop... well.

She'll be around, in either something akin to this, or with a T-shirt and wrap over that. Mostly focusing on the swimming during the daylight because that's what the beach is for you know]

[She might at some point notice Ling. He wasn't exactly... invited. Or if he was, he didn't come with the main group. He's just chilling in one of the few shaded spots, watching the fun for now. At the very least, he seems to be enjoying himself, if his grin is any indication.]

[She does. And in fact she short of... stares a bit. Who is that? It's not ringing a bell, but she also feels like she might have seen him before. Maybe in the draft? Maybe around town? Both? But she's not placing why here's here and her best guess is one of Ed's friend-

Ed has friends?

After staring for a short while, she turns, perhaps to go find someone to ask who this fellow is]

[As he sees her doing that, he'll just give a friendly nod and head in her direction.]

[And so following the first day on the beach the teenagers of the group decided they ought to remain out here and try their hand at camping. There was and is much shenanigans to produce the tents and fire and get the food and stories and other such things going.

And this is their story.]

[Winry hadn't been interested in the making of the tents. She's seen alchemy make plenty of times, and by now it was all the same to her. The girl is more fascinated by the bonfire when it's put together. She'll sit by it and watch the flames until everyone else joins her.]

[Haruhi, after gathering up a bit of material and admiring Ed's work herself a bit, settles into a seat right next to Winry after a bit of a delay. The bonfire is of impressive size, isn't it? Despite there probably being other people around somewhere, she kisses Winry on the cheek when she sits]

[Winry's cheeks color a bit (though it's hidden by dim light of the fire) because of how public it is. And who the public consists of.]
