[Rain was not usually a problem for Raven, a monsoon however was something else entirely. The loud noise being caused made it difficult to hear approaching troops, not to mention the severe lack of vision. Being so far away from the main camp only made things even worse.
Rather than continue on the offensive front, he decided it would be best to retreat, lay low and find shelter. Not that finding shelter was an easy task when the rainforest was even more of a maze thanks to flooding rivers and waist deep swamps. Thankfully, he managed to find the ruins he had passed a few days ago. Even though he knew they were more than likely full of Third Party soldiers and traps, he didn't have much of a choice in this situation. Survival was the most important thing, if he could make his way back to the camp then that would be an added bonus.]
[OOC: This is plot locked to someone, to save spamming up the comm with an entry about the same thing. I'm lazy and you know who you are.]
[in her attempt to help aid and help find any stragglers, Casey found herself separated from the group. neither the rain nor the unfamiliar helped her, but she didn't panic. instead she just focused on trying to find some shelter...
and run into some soldiers. just her luck. though she had tried to move without drawing their attention, it wasn't too long before she was running through the jungle. she only took as much time as necessary to try and pick out a few with her bow, but she saved most of it for when came near the ruins. at least now her luck was starting to change, but would it be enough?
[The ruins were in view! All he had to do was carefully avoid coming into contact with any soldiers and get into the shelter. If he stayed out in the monsoon any longer then he was going to become seriously ill.
As he jumped over a large tree root he spotted something, a shadow moving quickly towards the same destination. He tensed up, keeping his eyes focused on the difficult to decipher shape. It was a person, no doubt about it, so it was more than likely an enemy.
It would've helped if he had been paying more attention to where he was going. Maybe it was the paranoia that he would be attacked at any moment, or just the sheer lack of common sense thanks to fatigue. Either way, he collided with something, or rather someone, falling backwards into the thick mud outside the ruins entrance.]
Watch it! [He shouted without hesitation, tightening his grip on his bow.]
[she sensed something coming her way, but with everything going around her it was hard to tell from where. either way, she suddenly found herself being rammed into, also falling to the side and barely catching herself as she whirled around to yell at whoever just ran into her.]
[He wasn't sure if this was the luckiest encounter, or the worst possible one. Especially considering he was now covered in mud, soaking wet, and he just ran into her literally. ]
Uh... Hi!
[He pulled himself onto his feet, wiping the dirt off his coat, the heavy rain was helping with that quite well. He then pointed right towards the ruins.]
Now really isn't the time fer a friendly chat! Get inside!
[He starts walking slowly forward, keeping an eye on the ground. His tone is serious, but also sincere.]
Not especially. There was a ton of ammunition in one of the rooms before, but we raided it while time was stopped, so I dunno what kind traps we managed ta avoid.

[He follows close behind as they enter the ruins. He knows he saw something, and it wasn't her.]

[Maybe not exactly, but he did see these ruins before, that's how he knew they were here.]

[a small sigh. arguing wasn't going to get them anywhere.] Do you know anything about these ruins that we could use to our advantage?
