[This goes here in case anyone wants to help Katara prepare their delicious feast - hopefully someone will at least show up to set the table and get out of cleaning duty that way. No more than one or two here, please, the kitchen's not THAT big!]

[Yue doesn't know much at all about cooking, preparing food, and the like. Back in the Northern Water Tribe, there were always other people to do it, instead - one of the many luxuries that came with her status, really.

Still, Yue had told Katara she would help as much as she could, and besides that, she wants to help. So, here she is.]

Is there anything I can help with?

[And Katara glances over at the princess and smiles.] Sure, Yue. If you want you can simmer the meat or cut the vegetables?

[Take your pick, as Katara's just finishing up washing them now and the several packets of meat are nicely defrosting beside the oven.]

I'll... cut the vegetables, I think. [So, Yue waits for Katara to finish washing the vegetables before grabbing them and a knife. Then she slowly. Starts. Cutting.

Very, very slowly.

Once again, she doesn't know the proper way to do any of this, so slower is probably better! Maybe? Either way, Yue just wants to do her best to both help and avoid cutting herself.]

[And the table is set! We have three of these meat and vegetable pies, the one in the red pan is extra spicy for Sokka and Zuko, a large salad, and some frozen mixed vegetables that Katara currently thinks are the most fascinating things ever (feel free to disagree) - at least she puts butter on them? There's also leftover rice from yesterday which the prep team turned into sticky rice with mango, and anything else that whoever helped Katara wanted to try to prepare.

[Sokka? Not so much on the cooking today and he's home about just in time for dinner anyway. So while waiting for dinner to be finished up, he chills at the table, arm slung over behind the chair, while feeding Momo some nuts on the table. SO HELPFUL.]

[Sup, clean-up crew! Suki is tackling the dishes, so she's up to her elbows in suds trying to scrub whatever Katara had prepared for dinner. This would be a lot easier if they had non-stick pots or something.]

I really need to learn how to cook so I can skip this job sometimes.
