[Rydia is all over the place, either helping Selphie with more supplies or doing her rounds. She'll approach and greet anyone who's new, wanting to make them feel as welcome as she's able. Of course she's happy to see familiar faces as well and will pause to wave cheerfully at any that catch her eye.]

[Rydia pauses, confused.]

...costume?

[She glances briefly down at her clothes, then shakes her head.]

Oh, no, this is how I usually dress.

[She moves in for a closer examination, blatantly unaware of any notion of personal space.]

[Good thing Rydia's expecting to have her personal space invaded anyway. It's a crowded room, after all.]

[Well, this is one cheerful New Feather. She grins, though, glad to speak with someone not suspicious or angry or frazzled.]

I'm one of the volunteers at the Welcome Center. How are you settling into Luceti?

I've been wandering around the last few days, just gettin' a feel of the place. Went to the forest, the lake, round town... still got a lot to explore.

This magic dampener they've got going on is a real downer though.

Tell me about it. I've adjusted, but not having my spells at full strength unless drafted is hardly ideal. What sort of magic do you have?

I can make stuff go like, boom! and whoosh! and crack! and blammo!

Yep yep, I got a bit of everything. I can even call on my friends to help me out!

Nice sound effects! I'd like to see it for myself sometime...when we're not in a crowded room. Have you been to the battle dome?

From what I've seen, it can be...but it's all fascinating. I would be happy to show what I can do, once we're in a better place for that. A lot of mine is pretty destructive.
