[Locked Transmission to Residents]

Sep 24, 2011 18:31

[The following transmission is both typed and dictated.]Today is September 24, year four of this Luceti Project experiment cycle. My name is Albert Silverberg, and I am a resident transmitting over a secure system taken from the Organization and modified to specifically filter transmissions to Luceti residents' journals. I have confirmed with John ( Read more... )

Thank you very much for all the information. It's unfortunate how much we don't know, but I'm glad to see what we do.

I have some questions regarding the members of the Malnosso you mentioned. How would you suggest going about contacting them? And to clarify a political point--who exactly still has positions of authority within the organization? Are Molly and Catherine still 'in', or have they been removed from it following the change of leadership?

You may contact Sir Catherine or John over the journals -- though they are not strictly of the Organization any longer and the Organization knows they are within Luceti, they cannot do anything about us directing messages to them. They seem to have their own methods of ensuring the communications remain filtered to them.

Molly was never in a position of authority, as an intern. Sir Catherine seems to still have contacts within the Organization, but the Commandant is in command as he has become unpopular.

I see. How interesting that Sir Catherine in particular is willing to speak with us, considering his background and the measure of influence he still has. It certainly makes me wonder.

Thanks again.

He comes across rather eccentric and talkative when he wishes to be. You will see for yourself when next he communicates us, should you still be around.

The time and effort you put into this is most appreciated.

Would you perhaps be willing to field a few questions now answered here or in the guide?

You may certainly ask. I cannot guarantee there will be answers that satisfy you.

[And considering the nature of Leonhardt's questions, he's going to go ahead and put up a filter to be safe. Though he knows the other from his world will be able to break it with some effort, that's not a big deal.]

The fact that I cannot go home is unsatisfactory enough. Anything that leads in that direction is far more welcome than what exists now.

You mentioned there is no pattern to the departures...has this been studied then? If so, is the individual or group who did so still in Luceti? And if not, are there any who would wish to try and study it that I should consider seeking out?

It is not a properly researched situation, no. As many of these departures may occur without the village at large being alerted, the observation of lack of pattern is made solely by what is announced on the journals.

In the past, censuses and other lists have been attempted for gathering information which may have helped in keeping track of residents who remain and those who have gone. However, they have not been successful. I believe there has been some recent talk about beginning another census.

Has anyone ever been captured by the third party you speak of?

I've been around since those jerks first showed up, and I can't say I've heard of any villagers being taken by them.

[Pao-lin is stunned. The scope of this situation is a lot more horrible and complicated than she had gleaned from the guide, and there had been some pretty outrageous things in there. More than ever, she wishes she had one of her friends with her. She's not even sure where to begin with trying to digest all of this.]

So the Malnosso kidnapped us and trapped us in Luceti for an experiment...but there's also another part of the organization that kidnaps us from the village itself for another experiment?

That sounds about right. It's a real pain. They sure don't make it easy for us.

Does anyone have any idea what the Rogue Faction would want to experiment on us for?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one. I guess it's just what they've always done.
