Windol. It's by far the most temperate country. As such, the scenery tends to be pleasing.

What kind of scenery is it? [Pao-lin's mostly lived in urban jungles all her life, so undiluted nature is exotic to her.]

There's an abundance of plains and valleys, and the region can be mountainous -- exactly what you'd expect of a country symbolically associated with the wind.

[When he thinks about it, it hasn't changed much, if at all, in the past few years.]

There're mountains in New York, but you can't see them from Sternbild because there are so many buildings around. I've never been to those mountains, either.

It's . . . Mountains make for sound hiking terrains to help build up stamina.
