Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad

Wow, Prevage. Thank you for cataloguing everything that might possibly be "wrong" with my body so that I will become so paranoid that I convince myself your product is the only way to save myself from losing my beauty, and therefore my worth as a person. Thank you for showing me that the only way I can ever be perfect is if I am a plastic mannequin (notice the shoulder and wrist?). This is disgusting.

I've been neglecting LJ horribly because of the musical. Rehearsal every day right after school until 6 kind of saps my motivation to do anything but lie in bed. It's fun, though; I love being in the musical. The musical we're doing is Urinetown, which is about a future in which all toilets are public and you have to pay to pee. The poor people who can't afford to pee start a revolution. I'm just in the ensemble, but we're encouraged to come up with our own characters, and mine is pretty much Winky from Me and My Dick except not a total dick (pun very much intended). So I get to yell stuff in a squeaky voice and clamber all over the awesome scaffolding that's part of our set. It's the kind of character I need a costume to get into, though, so I'm working on knitting some arm warmers and a hat that I can wear when I need to get into character. The music is awesome, too, and the chorus gets a lot to sing! It's a weird cast this year, lots of newcomers. And the leads are totally not who I expected, which is nice.

Another thing eating at my time is Christmas knitting. Basically, I have to knit 8 rows on each project every day to be done on time, which means 56 rows a day! Intense. I'm sticking to it pretty well so far, though. Today I bought the yarn for Bethany and Emily's presents, and it's awesome yarn. The only yarn I've gotten that I'm not happy is the yarn I'm using for my mom's scarf. I might decide not to make her anything, because she said she didn't want me to get her anything, and it would help me not have to do so much. But I would feel like a horrible person! idk, though, the yarn I got for her just doesn't look good in anything. I will never buy cotton yarn again.
