After getting properly settled, Zack found that the small lift-ride up was rather anti-climatic. He'd been expecting some illustrious journey through winding caves that granted interesting sights, but the whole thing had lasted about five seconds

If they had interrupted anything, Zell certainly couldn't tell. For a moment, he considered flopping onto that bed rather obtrusively, but he figured that there was no way he was goimg to be able to sit still. Instead, he moved more or less off to the side, where he was free to send a few a good punches at some invisible opponent. He briefly had to think that it was a damn good thing he knew where this place was, or else they could have been searching for hours with no result. That would have ben ten levels of lame.
"Yep!" he agreed the black-haired man. "So, who gets to go first?"

The flower girl jumped to her feet, all smiles and happy waves as they approached. She covered her mouth and giggled at Zack's comment.
"You found us out! Now we'll have to come up with a new hiding spot," she joked, clasping her hands behind her and leaning forward in typical, Aerith body language. "What's up?"

He turned to Aerith and smiled. "The same applies to you, too, of course, though some stuff is between us guys, if you know what I mean." Having settled near Cloud, he was able to wrap his arm around the blonde's shoulders and wrench him closer in a friendly gesture.
"You better not hide again. The next time I find you, I won't let you off so easy," he teased, grinning somewhat devilishly.
"While I'm just goofing off, I think Zell actually had something important to talk about, so go ahead," he said with a nod to his new friend.

Though Cloud didn’t want to reiterate on what was said before, it seemed like he couldn’t escape the subject: How was he doing, How had he been. "I'm fine." was all he said on the matter. They had time, so there was no reason to play out being rushed. "Yeah, we were just catching up." Cloud had met Aerith a couple years before at Hollow Bastion, even though they never had a proper chance to catch up. Acknowledgment that they were both fine sufficed for that time-at least on his end. So even though he knew she was around, all the things he heard were new.

Cloud didn't seem keen on talking about himself, but, then again, he never had been the type. So, since Zack seemed so optimistic, she started with him.
"Seems like it," she said with a laugh, referring to that comment about cockroaches. "What about you, Zack? What've been up to all this time? We've got a little while to talk, don't we?"

"I spent most of my time just traveling, you know? I was looking for all of you guys, but I also got to explore and see a lot of different worlds." It had definitely opened his mind some. While Hollow Bastion hadn't exactly been sheltered, it certainly hadn't sported every aspect of life. He'd been able to see all sorts of cultures and people.
"I really should have been dealing with the war, but it's hard to do something if you're one person. I made sure to kill any Heartless that came my way, though."

Lines probably yeilded little difference concerning how much impact they could actually have; overall, minimal and semi-perminent.
That didn't completely rule out the difference a single person could make. That...was one place he'd have to dissagree with a translucant glance.
On the other hand adventuring seemed more like the Zack he knew--the one who always had those amazingly wild stories he liked to listen to. Cloud did seem a lot more interested [but not overenthusiastic] when that was mentioned. It was one of those old things, habits or even likes, that never really faded away. Zack seemed to tell stories like that really colorfully.
"I'd like to hear about your travels," even though he'd been to a few worlds, odds were that they differed a lot from what he'd seen.
