The Gizmo shop roof seemed to be the best one to sulk around on, as it gave a clear view of the entire First District. The night was pleasantly quiet, only the occasional clicking of odd machines coming from the shop below really taking away from the view. The other builds seemed locked up and the occupants sleeping for the night, and that strange ( Read more... )

Ginji spent hours wandering around to find work without any luck. No one seemed interested in his recovery service and a few people sneered at him, as if he his red and white sign was rude. Finally he gave up, his stomach grumbling with hunger and his heart heavy.

If he didn't find a way to make munny and get a ship, then he was stuck on this world. If he was stuck on this world he had no way of knowing if his friends were okay. It hurt to think about it. It made his whole body slow down a bit, and the electric currents that went through him fizzled slightly before he dragged his feet away.

Ban-chan he thought, as he walked towards the next district, I've never going to be able to look for you. I wish I knew you were okay. I wish I knew you weren't lost. I want to get you back... Ban-chan. He stopped shortly after opening the door as a loud booming sound reached his ears.

A gunshot!?!?!?!He moved quickly to see what was making the sound, just in time to see someone destroy a Heartless ( ... )

Vincent turned around to face the excited voice that was all too close. His black leather-clad hand shifted back to the shotgun, blinking at the sight of a man. He shifted dropped his hand from his weapon and bowed his head a little, tucking his chin a little more into his cloak collar.

The young man before him seemed nice enough, and the blonde would also be the first to actually speak with him. What would it hurt to actually speak with another? If anything, it would give him much needed practice on his lack of social skills.

"Thank you," he started carefully, trying to choose his words well. His red eyes romed over the other's form, and he nodded again at the excitement in that voice that played over his mind. "I had training for... a long time."

Ask his name, angst-pot! Lead the conversation! Chaos snapped and snarled in the back of his mind.

"And... you are?"

"I'm Ginji!" Ginji offered.

This guy looks like he's really serious, Ginji thought. He had known a lot of serious people over the course of his life (he had even been one of them) and he thought all they needed to be happier again was to have a good friend.

"I just got here not too long ago," he continued, not missing a beat. "I've actually been looking for work to get a way off the world to look for my friends!" Oops, as Ban-chan would say, too much information. Ginji grinned a little sheepishly. "Anyway, who are you? If you don't mind me asking."

Vincent nodded his head to the name, making sure to store it away so that he would not forget it anytime soon. This young man looks so cheerful, was all that Vincent could think, but it was strangely refreshing and seemed to off-set his own dark mood and appearance.

"Vincent," he offered softly before finally admitting his full name of, "Vincent Valentine. I'm... an ex-marksman."

He set his clawed hand on his hip as he regarded the young blonde, tapping one of the claws against his belt buckle. "Looking for friends? I only just arrived at this place earlier today, so I am not certain I can help you with job opportunities. What do your friends look like?" He could at least keep an eye out for others, and his memory was known to be good.
