A Library Full of Mystery [Earth, closed]
Of the many things that Chihaya enjoyed to do, sitting in the library and researching was several notches below enjoyable. It wasn't so much that he hated to read. On the contrary, it was certainly something that he did when he felt the need to relax.
However, reading was nothing compared to the energy he felt being with someone else. Hearing a person's dreams and what they enjoyed to do, giving them hope when they felt a little down, and watching all the miraculous things that an Earthian could do...that was invigorating.
And then there was being with Kagetsuya. It was difficult to explain how he felt, because it seemed that it was the most wonderful rollercoaster he had ever been on. One minute they were talking, maybe even having a disagreement over some silly action that the Earthians had done, and then next minute was filled with kissing and passion. Kagetsuya might not agree with him on everything, but their goals in the long run were the same: to protect those they cared for, and to love each other fully.
Yet how things would be so much better had the Heartless never come to Earth. In fact, so much could have been prevented had they not shown up...yet part of it was the powerful darkness of the Earthians that led the Heartless to come. They fed not only on the Earthians' darkenss, but also the darkness of the Angels.
He and Kagetsuya knew very well that where there was such darkness, there was light, and nothing normal was exempt from it. So he believed that they could fight the Heartless. It just wasn't clear how...
That was how he found himself in the library, hoping to find something about beings that hadn't started showing themselves fully until recently. The possibility of finding anything seemed very slim, but it was the only thing that he could come up with. If only they could catch one properly, but that seemed nearly impossible...
Sighing, Chihaya made his way to the computers to start the search. Oh, it was going to be a long day...
