Wounded Wookie - Hollow Bastion [COMPLETE; continued]

There are always moments of disorientation when one wakes up from a near-catatonic sleep. The only thing that matters in that time is the solid thing beneath the body and the fragmented images slowly being overridden by pain. Pain brought things into focus, like the images that were just light playing across his eyelids ( Read more... )

The laughter didn't stop until some time after, devolving into a very unhealthy sounding cough. The only reason he stopped laughing was that he couldn't anymore, not without causing himself further injury. A satisfied smirk lingered in it's place ( ... )

“He’s got you there.” Havoc pointed out to the dark-haired one. He’d heard from kids before that it wasn’t wise to believe in strangers, but in this day in age it was a pretty important thing to live by. Not that they could be all too picky about who to trust especially in a situation like this. A world not like his own-that sounded a little too familiar. “You’re lost, too, huh?”

Hey, the castle. This guy had access to the castle. Wasn’t this convenient. Here he was trying to find someway to get to talk to the people in charge, and someone with access to the place happened to wander right up. “If he’s not gonna take you up on that offer, could I go to the castle? I need to speak with someone in charge because I don’t think I’m in the right place.” He took another look at the gummi ship, “Or the right continent..” The people in charge would know what he was supposed to do in theory.

"Yes," Aladdin told the injured one, trying not to seem overly impatient, "the castle." He turned and pointed it out, its towers rising far above any of the other buildings in Hollow Bastion. Of course, he could easily leave him to rot--it was all up to him.

Both of them were foreigners. So was he, in fact. He knew his way around, though, and had the proper connections. Turning to the more rational blond, he nodded. "Yeah, I could get you in there. And probably fill you in on one or two things. You'd be surprised by how normal this sort of thing is. People ending up in places that aren't their home, I mean." He smirked, but that soon fell away as he sighed.

Things weren't getting better.

Bakura shrugged - again, bad idea, not that that had ever stopped him - and looked between the other two.

"My world is gone, yes." He answered the blond. He didn't have to fake being upset about that, though not for the reasons the other two might assume.

The next part was a little harder, but he was getting there. He just had to do what the people here did.

"If your offer is still open, then you have my apologies." He pushed some of the hair out of his face and held onto the chair he'd been leaning against to help himself up. When the the inertia passed, he managed to balance quite easily on one leg the other only barely touching the ground.

"An explanation would be nice." He managed not to growl that. It wouldn't really be nice, but it would be a start.

Seemed like the one in the crash had smarts after all. Passing up a trip into the castle wouldn’t exactly be wise, especially if it were geared towards helping him out a little bit. This had turned out rather convenient, Havoc was happy with that. Overly complicated things weren’t really his cup o’ tea.

’World is gone?’ Havoc gave the silver haired guy a weird expression. How could anyone’s world be gone? Must’ve been some sort of figurative term, he supposed.

They seemed to be heading for the castle now instead of hanging around. He’d offer Bakura a little help to get from point A to point B, but from what he had seen this guy didn’t seem the type to accept it. Havoc took a couple last mental snapshots of the scene and put his observations to rest.

An explanation would be nice. “I’ll second that.” he agreed.

Some humility! How surprising ( ... )

Once Bakura figured out how to walk without clinging to the available furniture, he was more or less set to follow Aladdin and the blond to the castle. He couldn't pretend that he wasn't interested in 'exploring' such an elaborate Palace: it was like...well, like walking a thief into a palace ( ... )
