I'm so glad we don't have PoT here, because they would probably dub it. It just wouldn't sound right in Dutch.

The dub...I really have no idea how the rest of the voices are going to sound like. I'm very afraid. I think I've once again realized just how much the voices impact the general feel that the series gives. Heh, I wonder how PoT would sound in Chinese. 0_0;;

Hahaha, I think I had almost the same reactions as you to the HikaGo dub. Too bad I don't actually like Akari herself. Have you heard Kaga yet?

I haven't seen and heard Kaga at the same time yet. I think I downloaded one of the clips you had up before of his voice...it sounded...I don't even know how to describe it. Like he was croaking? 0_0;; I don't quite remember it. I heard Touya before today too, I think, but this was the first time I saw the actual episode along with the voice. It makes...quite a big difference.

And for the meme, Suikoden. I remember that one icon of yours with the chibi prince from Suikoden V.

Exactly! Hikaru's voice sounded so old! It felt entirely wrong at the very start, but by the end of the episode...it sounded somewhat okay. Though, at times, it was a little hard to tell Hikaru from Sai, which is was not good. It'd fit the older Hikaru a little better, I think ( ... )

Ah yes, Death Note, I skipped volume 9~11 and read the last few chapters because I just wanted to know the ending. XD I didn't know if I was surprised or not with it, since DN is a shounen manga = heros always win, but who exactly was the 'hero' of DN? You'd think it'd be Light at first, but he's just evil and crazy in the end. :/ And then you'd think it's L, but then he suddenly dies. DN is very original in the shounen manga category that way, I think.

DN is pretty strange. I've tried introducing it to my brother by saying it's drawn by the person who drew Hikago, but then, the story's by an entirely different person and gives off an entirely different feeling. And really, so many people die and it's so complicated...I don't think it'll translate into an anime well.

With Light as evil and crazy as he is and with L dying so suddenly, I've learned to expect the unexpected out of DN. My expectations for the ending weren't high, no matter who won at the end and who else died along the way. Though, it did feel kind of weird that the final confrontation was between Light and Near. I suppose, Near only won because he had the support of all the others around him, including what L left behind. =/ I suppose the "hero" could be thought of as L, or at least, the alias of L. Near does take on that name in the end.

And, for the meme, Gintama! And icon = approved yay .

yeah Ryoma's va wasn't snarky enough lol, but he wasn't bad ... my brother laughed so hard when Momo talked during the previews. Why? Because of the expression on my face, he knows I love Momo dearly, and well, I was so thoroughly mortified that they botched up Momo so badly, seriously, in the words of illogical both she and I felt like our souls had died when we hrd him speak.

His attempt at Momoshiro's catch line, his repetition of part of his words at the end of that preview--so lame!! I'm hoping that he'll actually be better than what we've heard in that preview...or that I'll get used to it...? D= It makes me really scared for the rest.

Yes! I'm sure the voice actor is a good actor, but he's just not right for Momo, there's none of that "danger" kinda tone that Momo has when ever he repeats his words. Like Masaya Onosaka has that mature, but yet goofy voice, but when he becomes serious, it's very deep and well, it sounds like he IS Kaidoh's rival. The english va for Momo sounds like Kaidoh eats him for breakfast T___T
