I sometimes think it would be nice to have a paying job that involved writing and editing, but then I think, that would make it just work and would mean I burnt out on it and didn't want to do my own stuff.

Obviously the ideal is if someone would pay me to write my own stuff all day, but that ain't gonna happen! :D

True. But it's extra funds so I'm only going to complain but so much. :) Besides, it's also entirely possible that since I'm just starting out with this editing business that I'm purposely being sent junk things that need work. I would imagine that most publishing companies want some kind of assurance that their copy editors have a clue of what they're doing before they get sent the 'good stuff'.

I'd love for someone to pay me to write my own stuff too. Sadly, I haven't won that stinkin' lottery yet. Then I could afford to pay myself. Hee!
