I know there is a way (usually) to turn off the autoformatting in Word. As well as auto correction.

And honestly, I fibbed a little. I still have Word 2003 on my comp. I *did* not let microsquish upgrade and overwrite it. But it gives me some kind of error message whenever I open it. Though I have still been able to use it. I think...

I agree! I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to get docked major points on my English essay because of this suckage. It refuses to acknowledge that MLA is a format and it is required by most institutions of higher education in order to earn a degree.

HATE.

Once again, Microsoft is assuming that it knows best for everyone. And that anyone who uses Word only uses it for writing middle school papers.

And blog enteries. *is boggled by that*

Ugh, that's exactly what I hate about Microsoft (well, one of the many, many, many things). Idiot software thinks it knows better than you! That's why I type most of my stuff up on my Mac OS 9 Mac with AppleWorks. Now that is a WP program!

The layout of this thing is irritating. *How* does this look like a professional peice of software? It looks like something a kid would use...

*hides from Word 2007*

I will only use it when I must. That will be my new mantra.
