“There you are!”
Z rolled her eyes as the familiar voice cut across the rec room, pointedly keeping her eyes fixed on her book.
“Still being moody I see.” A quirk tugged at the corner of Jack's mouth as he flopped down on the sofa next to her.
“I am not moody,” she replied crisply.
“Yah, right,” Jack shot back sarcastically, “I know you too well, sis. So what’s bugging you now? Prissy roommate; rambling techno babble or a certain, stiff, pain-in-the-ass somebody?” It didn't escape Jack's notice how Z tensed slightly at the last comment. “Ah,” he said wisely, “So it is Sky. Still got a crush on him, huh?”
“I do not have a crush on Sky!” she replied a bit too forcibly.
Jack only smirked at her and casually leaned back in his seat. “You just keep on telling yourself that.”
Z lowered her book slightly and turned to glare daggers at him. “For the last time, I do not have a crush on him!”
Jack leaned towards her, “Then why do you get all jumpy whenever someone mentions his name?” he asked in a conspiratorial tone.
She huffed and resolutely stared back into her book. “Stuff it, Jack.”
Sighing, Jack glanced up at the ceiling for a moment. “Why him?” he asked quietly.
“Knock it off, Jack.”
“I’m being serious.” He sat up fully and carefully pulled the book from her hands. “I know you like him, you can’t lie to me about it, but I want to know why. Why out of everyone did you pick Sky?”
“I didn’t!” she snapped and Jack gave her a condescending look. “I mean it,” she continued in a much calmer tone. “I have no idea why its Sky. He drives me just as nuts as he does you. But still...” she blushed faintly, “There's something about him. I can't help it, but I like him for some stupid reason.”
Jack cracked a smile small, “I knew you had a crush on him!”
“You’re a pain, Jack.”
“I know,” he smirked back. “So... have you kissed him yet?” Jack phased quickly to avoid the fist aimed at his head.
Yep! I'm doing 30_kisses again. This time in Sky/Z style!
