À tort et à travèrs

It's nippy outside (an edge of incipient frost) and I can see the crescent moon.

The air smells of gunpowder... Random, huh? :P

Bonjour mon p'tit chou! Ca va? J'ai essaye a lire ce que t'as dit en Jerrais. C'est comme Francais mais un peu different ... comme parler Francais en zezeyant!

I am also in awe of your use of accents ... I can never be bothered when I type and I don't think I'd know how to put them on lj.

I'm very happy you read my story and I'd love you to friend me - I've friended you already. And, having scrolled down your entries, that bread looks delicious.

Amities!

Bouônjour, ma chiéthe! J'sis d'charme, mèrcie. :) L'Jèrriais is an earlier form of French, the kind William the Conqueror Bastard would have heard, and was heavily influenced by the Vikings, who, as I'm sure you know, founded Nouormandy. Tenses can be very different--there's even a 'continuous present'! My schoolgirl French sometimes gets in the way and trips me up.

I cheat for the accents. I have a Jèrriais Word file, so I add the accents in there and cut/paste. lol Sometimes it takes me ages to work out what I'm trying to say.

I had a very big, happy grin when I saw that you'd friended me. Oh yes. I'm delighted to see you. :D

À la prechaine!
