I really enjoyed that - thank you :-)

It sounded very like Bush *has small Paul McGann moment* and I really liked the description of what it would have been like with Archie - it rang very true - both as what might have been and as the segue into more.

One thing though: "Cheer up." Bush clapped him on the shoulder in a friendly manor. I think they'd have to be back on full-pay at least to be in a manor - friendly or not... unless you got Edrington in on it anyway ;-)

I really prefer the character dynamic in the books rather than the films, so I wouldn't normally go for this - but this is enough to turn me! I LOVE Bush's explanation of what HH/AK would have done, and the description of the city's darkness and silence before they get it on... and the HH having Archie's love revealed to him by Bush is just heartbreaking. Thanks for this! :D
